Pele's Tears is a contemporary romantic suspense that takes place in a lush Hawaiian setting full of flowers, myth, and lore. It's populated by unique characters, including a nervous ornithologist, a former bad-boy boyfriend who's now a librarian, an amorous Australian surfer, a sullen motorcycle-riding flower harvester, and a celibate wild rooster named The Colonel.
Pele's tears has sexual tension but no sex scenes, all done with humor and often through inner dialogue.

Sharon Garner is a great writer. I have all of her books and have enjoyed them immensely. This one is no exception. The story is very good as also are the descriptions. I hated to see it end, my only regret is that there is such a long time between books.
Dante Kohoa and Noelani Beecham inherited his grandmother's flower farm on Kauai. Thus he travels from Lehua, Kauai to Maine praying his childhood friend is ready to come home after years away. She fled Hawaii as she blames herself for the death of Dante's twin Dominic in a tragic accident. However, as they return back to the islands, someone targets them apparently because the culprit believes the pair has the Pele's Tears; jewels that both assume were myths told by her godmother and his grandmother. As the pair begins to fall in love as adults, they search for the jewels as her godmother's journal leaves clues that has both changing their minds about the gems. They hope their quest ends the threats to lives. Pele's Tears is an engaging Hawaiian second chance at love romantic suspense in which his late brother comes between the lead couple as it has since Dom died. Although the final confrontation leaves readers wondering about the prime villain needing professional help with a no harm no foul (no culpa) attitude, fans will enjoy the hunting and stalking of Pele's Tears. I have been anxiously awaiting Sharon K Garner's new book and she does not disappoint with "Pele's Tears". We journey to Hawaii with the two main character's Noelani "Lani" Beecham and Dante Kahoa lifelong friends that have been separated when Lani moved to Maine to escape a painful past she feels responsible for. the loss of Dante's twin brother Dominic due to an accident. Even though she hasn't been physically in Hawaii for some time, her heart has never left! She feels such a connection to the land , the people, the traditions and to Dante himself. As kids growing up they had all heard stories from Rosemary ~ Lani's Godmother and Dante and Dominic's Grandmother about the legend of Pele's Tears, a trio of egg sized gems that were always thought to be a family myth. Its only after Rosemary's passing and reading of her journal that they discover the gems really do exist and the family isn't the only ones that know about them. Dante and Lani both start receiving threatening notes saying to hand over "Pele's Tears" or else. Sharon K. Garner introduces us to fun and zany characters and lots of excitement and adventure as the mystery of "Pele's Tears" unfolds! Grab yourself a copy of "Pele's Tears", curl up in your favorite chair and enjoy the book!! You will not be disappointed! Happy Reading!!
