We recently traveled to Italy for 6 weeks. We had both used a phrase book and CD program to prepare for our trip and were able to navigate many simple conversations from that. But this Italian dictionary completed our resources. It fit easily into my handbag and had both a section from English to Italian in the front and a likewise section from Italian to English in the back. The Italian to English section indicated the phonetic pronunciation which included the accented syllable which helped a lot. I used the dictionary frequently and have it in my travel kit for our next trip. I had purchased another "pocket" sized dictionary first and realized it was the right size for my handbag, but the print was much too small to be comfortable. This one worked great.
