Penny's 4th of July is a story revolving around the holiday, but its lesson is appropriate any time during the year. As a young puppy, Penny the Beagle, is outside and gets very scared when the fireworks begin. She starts running away from the noise and manages to get out of her yard. She gets lost and even more frightened. Fortunately, her family finds her and Penny ends up safely back at home. The story of her journey, and what happens to her along the way, is a great way to discuss with children how to face their fears rather than run away from them. As always, the lovable Sleepytown Beagles will delight and entertain your child as well as teach them a valuable life lesson.
