About the Author

Rene' Abril de Cubria was born on the island of Cuba in 1954, several years before the unfortunate communist revolution. However, he and his brother were airlifted on August 17, 1961, thanks in large part to the CIA in Operation Peter Pan. Living briefly in Miami, Florida, his family moved to Newark, New Jersey; whose streets he credits with having raised him in the blue collar neighborhood of the North Ward.
Mr. Abril possess an unmitigated passion for baseball and free enterprises.
He resides in Spring, Texas with his wife of 28 years, and two adult children who he claims will never leave home - they have too good.
