I have 50 pounds to lose and have failed on every diet. I've had my fair share of low-fat and low-carb diets, but the Perfect 10 Diet gave me the answer; they all disruped my hormones and slowed my metabolism. This book has changed my life. I really mean it, and in 1 week. I lost 4 pounds already and feel so much better. I have more energy. I can't believe how I was poisoning myeslf. I was eating all the wrong types of foods that I thought were healthy, but are REALLY dangerous. I have a lot of weight to lose but think I can do it now that I have the right information. I simply can't find anythig wrong with this book, it is getting excellent reviews all over the internet and in diet websites reviews. And I can see why. I highly recommend it for weight loss or health improvement.

I am a librarian and I was lucky to get an advanced copy of the Perfect 10 diet from a book fair back last May. I read the book and found it to be very interesting read in explaining how foods interact with hormones that control weight. It was very inspiring and very well written. I put the diet to the test. The first few days were really tough as I gave up my sugar addiction, but then I was fine. I did not want to weigh myself initially as I never really succeeded on any diet before. I did not want to be disapoint myself. Four weeks later, my clothes were much looser (I mean really looser). I started to weigh myself and found out that I've lost 13 pounds. I could not believe it. The weight continued to come off even though I did not excercise as I have knee problems from my excess weight. I gave the book to my mom who is 67. She lost 8 pounds in 3 weeks. It has been 7 months since I started the diet and I have lost a total of 28 pounds. I still have 12 pounds more to go, but I am sure I will be able to do it. It is all about what you can eat and what you can't eat in order not to go hungry. I was discrupted my hormones by all the other popular diets that I've ever tried. My mom lost 20 pounds, it changed her life like it changed mine. I just bought the book few days ago to have as a reference and found out it went dramatic transformation with more information. I finished reading it again and think this diet will truly change this country. It has changed my life and my mom's life. Don't take my word for it. Read the reviews on websites and the diet's Facebook page from people who were lucky as me to try it. It is a life changing book.

Well, I bought this book since I wanted to drop a few pounds--only a few as I really have no problem with weight variations or fixations, if you will. I was, however, attuned to the fact that the book talks about hormones and its role in weight loss and in all over health. The author talks about achieving perfect 10 health, and when you have that, you don't have a weight problem. That makes sense to me, so I can see why this book will be a winner. So many of the other diet books are so much of the same dribble. Dribble is not in this book. Recommended for all.

I bought several diet books last week to lose the 20 pounds that I put on during the holidays. Except for the perfect 10 Diet, I found them to be another scam for my money. This guy talks about you getting you healthy and losing weight by balancing hormones. Okay, the guy is a doctor so he may be knows what he is talking about. I was really shocked, the book is very scientific, fun to read, and very organized. I gave up my fat free muffins, switched to organic eggs, went back to whole milk. I lost 4 pounds and did not even feel hungry. I feel a weight has been taken off my shoulder with the right guidance that went against of what I thought is healthy. This is truly the last diet book you'll ever need. I see why everybody here shares my point of view here.

This book simply verifies for me what I have long suspected about the food that we eat. Dr Aziz is very clear and informative although a little long winded, I got the message about everything long before we got to the actual diet part. That being said, I have been following this diet faithfully for 3 weeks now ( stage 1) and while I'm not going to claim I don't miss bread,pasta and cookies,(stage 1) I have not been hungry. There are so many things you can eat, I have not felt deprived at all. I feel better already and have lost ten pounds without excercising much at all. I plan to stay committed to this way of eating even after I lose all my weight.

Heard about this book and figured, well, Oh no, not another diet book, but I was kind of taken in by the bormone concept. So as my headline says it is an interesting and new concept. I figured if it was a gimmick, I would return it. I am not returning it. The author is a doctor so I figured he may know something, but so many doctors know nothing but how take your money. Well I did give my money to get this book and I am trying the concepts. I must also say that I knew a lot of the stuff in the book, but the angle or concept here is how to eat so your hormones are in balance, and that goes for men as well as women, so it is all right for weight and for health. I would say those who like to buy diet books try this one. It may prove workable in the longrun. It is not hard to follow, well, that is my review. I say: good book.

As a fitness professional I received a copy of this book for review and was pleasurably surprised by the in depth discussion of hormones and the role they play in weight loss. This book was chock full of information that the average dieter may not be privy to. Some of the passages seemed out dated to me, in my field, such as the "other camp" recommending low-fat or low-carb diets. I haven't heard those recommendations in a long time and most do agree that a balanced diet with whole grains and an elimination of processed foods and sugar to be key. This book is a great tool for individuals looking to live a healthier and longer life.

I don't any so called diet books, but this book is not the run of the mill diet book. It is a health program, that if you desire to lose wight, well, that's is fine, but it is also aimed at getting you into what the man calls perfect 10 health, which has its result in weight loss--if you are into that- a catchy interesting idea and like another reviewer said, it is an interesting concept when you sit down and read it and then think about it. Diet books are just a waste of money, time and effort, and they have so many damn rules to follow, and the result is just a temporary fix. This concept gives you a workable base and you go from there. When I saw this in the store, there were so many ridiculous diet books, it is relly absolutely, well, I said it: ridiculous. This book is a sane idea. So, I recommend it, ain't that the truth. Ain't that the truth!

I liked his ideas very much but implementing them is another story-organic food at every meal gets expensive and it doesn't last long. What he says makes a lot of sense but it's the money. Being on a VERY tight budget just will not allow all the food to be organic-as much as I wish it could be.

I really can't say anything else after reading this book. A 10 in writing, 10 in information, 10 in health, 10 perfect hormones, 10 for the doctor, 10 for my weight loss (8 pounds so far in 2 weeks). Go ahead and try it, folks, you will be amazed like I was.

I bought this book several weeks ago. I lost 15 pounds and have a smile on my face and less fat around my neck. So am I complaining. You answer that yourselves. I have been on many diets. Some I liked. Some I didn't. I tried this diet. A lot of the same stuff, but a lot of the same stuff where your hormones are taken into account, so perhaps it is a gimmick, and perhaps it isn't. Who cares as long as the weight comes off. It comes off with other diets, sure, but there is some kind of a difference here, some feeling that something is happening. Now, if I lived in New York, and I am sort of glad I don't, I would pay a little visit to this doctor, but I have the book to guide me. So I recommend it. I cannot say that about other books or diet plans, and, therefore, the truth has been revealed. My goal is 45 pounds to lose, so I have 30 to go. I am not in a rush, so go ahead people, try this.

I have 25 pounds to lose. I could not put this book down as I continued to read page after page. It is so informative. I' ve been telling my doctor that my hormones are messed up, but he had no idea about the tests I asked him to run. I have t find a doctor who knows of what is in this book. Today was my first day on the diet, so I do not know yet. But I see a lot of people on facebook and here lost weight. I hope it will work for me too.

The 10 hormones you need to balance with the right food choices is really an amazing and a catchy idea to sell a book. But the author, a doctor, presents the types of foods that should be on your plate, including the scientific research on why these types of foods will make you healthier. It has easy-to-follow recipes to savor them at every meal. Each chapter is informative, well written and with information of how to lose weight, prevent early onset of aging, heart disease, cancer. I' ve already cleaned my kitchen, and threw all the processed foods. I 've lost 5 pounds already in 8 days without going hungry. Highly recommended for all.

I feel so wonderful on this diet--but it is not a diet. I feel I am improving my health along the way. Let me put this in capital latters: ON THIS SO CALLED 'DIET' YOU IMPROVE YOUR HEALTTH. SOMETHING HAPPENS WITH YOUR HORMONES SO YOU FEEL BETTER. I am also not one who writes reviews, but as I prepare my meal from one of the many recipes in the book, I feel I must just say--people: try this diet. Listen to the majority of folk around the country who are praising this diet. I DID, SO I BOUGHT IT. You will be as energized as I am. I bought the book, but read it all the way through before I started the diet-but I say again--this is not a diet. I disagree with the TEENAGER who said that there is filler here--sure there is, it is chock full of information, unlike Chock Full of Nuts. We of the mature minds know better. Onwards and upwards, or shall I say downwards, as far as weight goes. How lovely. Thank you Dr. Aziz for making me happy inspite of it all.

The Perfect 10 Diet is one of the most informative and sensible diet books I've seen in a long time. Dr. Aziz explains how everyday foods and beverages contribute to precise biological changes in our body and how those changes contribute to weight gain, depression, anxiety, sexual dysfunction, and many other common medical and psychological problems. He offers practical changes to our diets that help restore balance to our bodies on many different levels. I enjoyed learning so much about the body and how things like caffeine, artificial sweeteners, and more can cumulatively have a negative impact on overall health and well-being. This isn't your next fad diet. This is a plan for life.

Yes, I am on this diet and do not understand why, since I am in shape, but do embrace the concept of the hormones, so I can say it is a health book for you all as well. A lot of praise for a diet book, but I hereby correct myself. Slap. Slap. It is not only a diet. Well, you can lose the fat, but eat it, girls and boys, says this doctor. But, it has health implications. So that is excellent for this reviewer. I don't often buy books like this, but, as I said, it is not your ordinary diet book, so I shelled out the bucks. Worth it. Sure. I will report more later. I finished the book, didn't take too long, and now I am starting the diet. No problems so try it and let's get happy!

I am on the diet for 10 days and lost 10 pounds. I usually have a slow metabolism due to my liking of the wrong foods. I used to eat certain foods for my curves. Well, girls, perhaps that is wrong, or perhaps it used to be right years past, long ago when hats were in style, for I do like a hat, but those days are gone to be replaced by modernism. Back to the review as I tend to digress, and is that a crime, I ask. No, thanks. The Perfect 10 Diet seems to be working for me, so why wouldn't it work for you? No reason I see, and I do see the doctor's point that if you FEW who needn't lose the weight, well, you get the health related benefits. That is the point of this tome of the time--you get healthy when you lose weight. Makes sense to me. People on this site seem to agree with me. Littile time to waste on other idiotic diets, This is sense and healthy at the same time. Onwards!

Now, I am not one who usually writes reviews, but LOOK OUT, I am writing one for THIS book. I did read it. I read it three times. I read it very, very thoroughly before I decided to try the diet. I DO NOT have to lose weight. But what I AM interested in is PERFECT health. Since this book has a DUAL purpose, I am now on the plan. If I lose a few pounds in the process, I am not complaning. I did lose three pounds. In ONE WEEK. So I am not complaining AT ALL. I enjoy the food choices and do not feel deprived. Now, I decided to post my review on this site since I boughtt the book at a local BN store. I read ALL the reviews here, the majority being very positive. I was stopped in my tracks by one I feel I must "answer." This "reviewer" who has some kind of an axe to grind. You know who you are. Let's just say your "review" was posted on March 18 at 7:15 EST......"anonynous"....complete with misspellings and bad grammar. Well, if you just read the book, you did not do it justice, now did you? You say there is nothing new....wow, you are very, very uninformed. We all know you cannot target a specific area of the body to lose weight. It's about the hormone balance. That is the difference. Plus, YOU DO NOT NEED TO HAVE TO LOSE WEIGHT TO BE ON THIS DIET!!! Credible. I suspect you neither read the book nor even OWN it. I have it right: this "reviewer" does not even own the book! I purchased this book because I have severe headaches that no medications seem to help. I liked his idea of eating to balance hormones. I guess I've known for a while that I should give up processed foods and have tried to a couple of times without success. On this diet it was easy. I think because you're encouraged to eat natural fats so you feel full. I started wanting to drop about 20 pounds. In three weeks on the first phase, I lost 8 pounds. I haven't weighed myself in a couple of weeks, so I don't know the progress, but my clothes are looser. I do feel more energetic. My only complaint with this book is that he tells you you need to eat a 40-20-40 ratio of carbs-protein-fat (unless you exercise a lot) and states that you'll magically reach this. He is light on menus for the day that actually get you to this magic ratio. He says you don't need to track your intake, but I do and it is very hard for me to reach that ratio. With decreased bread, potatoes, sugar, it's just difficult to reach the ratios. I'm also nervous about the recommendation to eat full fat dairy (such as milk). I'm having my cholesterol checked. All in all, though, it's a diet that keeps you feeling full and allows you to eat a wide variety of foods, with only a few "evils"--white flour and sugar. I've been on this plan for about a month and it's been very easy to stick to so far. It does turn a lot of conventional advice on its ear, so be prepared to shake up your thinking.

Bought this book and seems to be working so far. Cannot say much else, but seems to be different in a lot of ways from other manic diet books, and no one likes diet books, except for a few, and they don't have to be overweight. This talks about getting us into perfect 10 health and concentrates on the 10 hormones that are supposed to do it--well, a catchy commercial marketing strategy, but if it works, what the hell am I complaining about, Well, I am not really complaining. Anyway, readers, you will be interested in this book as I said it is not merely about weight loss so jump on board, however, if you are overweight, wait until you lose weight to jump! With this book, you will be jumping. Let's rejoice in the fact that perhaps after this book, we won't have to buy abother stupid diet book again. Bye ya all. Keep reading,

Not so much a diet book, rather a book filled with valuable information regarding the effects the foods we eat have on our bodies. With the knowledge in this book you will know what foods are good and which are bad - allowing you to make intelligent decisions when you need to about what you put in your mouth. For me, it's more about knowing what not to eat - eliminate those and everything else is 'on the list'. Most straightforward &quot;diet&quot; book I have read to date. Bottom line is to eat wholesome food and get up and MOVE, it really is the only way!

Really loved this book. I thought it was very interesting to learn about these 10 hormones that control so much more than just fat and wrinkles. It was educational and inspiring all at the same time. I like how the author, who is also a doctor, tells his patient's stories so that we have proof of how this diet has changed people's lives in more ways than just weight. Their health, well being and overall future health is improved from this diet. Very good book that i have recommended to all my friends and it has changed my outlook on food and so many processed ingredients.
