I loved it. it didnt have cussing...if any, and was just nice and fun. I'm a SUCKER for books when the best friends end up going out because I'm, like, in love with my best friend, but he doesn't know it. So, I love these books where it actually happens!

Ciara is tired of the same old boring guys from school. She has always liked to randomly hook-up and be done with it. But now she decides that she wants a real boyfriend.

She leaves her home in Los Angeles to go to her dad's house in Santa Barbra for the summer, and meets up with some old friends at a club. Specifically, she sees AJ rapping (Ciara is the hip-hop/rap queen) and she realizes that he is going to be her boyfriend.

Ciara and her old friend, Kevin, create a scheme to make AJ fall in love with her. But, as predicted, nothing ever goes the way you want it to. AJ is all about his music career, and not about having a girlfriend. So will Ciara be able to make AJ into her "perfect boy?"

Read THE PERFECT BOY, the pool/beach novel of the summer, to find out!

What I really liked about this book was that I had so much in common with the characters. That's how all of Hailey Abbott's characters are like. And I love her for it! Perfect for reading while chillin' by the pool in the 100 degree heat!

This book is absolutely amazing.Ciara is a girl who is tired of hooking up with random guys she knows that she'll never be with. She goes to stay with her father in Santa Barbara and falls in love with a boy her best friend is in love with so she doesn't tell her best friend which then happens to backfire on her. Also, her parents are in the middle of getting a divorce. In the end,she finds out that the boy who has been helping her get the guy she thought she was in love with, was the guy she really loved. In addition to a great plot, i also love the writing style. The author includes quotes from famous celebrities at the beginning of every chapter.

This book was your average teen novel. The main character finds her true love, but finds out that her best friend likes him too. She finally gets to spend the time with him. But ends up going out with her crush's friend. Not exactly the most drama filled book iv'e ever read. But it was okay. So take my word for it.

out of all the books Hailey Abbot has wrote this one was the worst. I appluad her for trying to do something different by making the main character African American, but i think she forgot that the main character was African American. The main character just didnt seem like an everyday realistic black girl. Me being an african american girl, just couldnt see the main character as a black girl. Im not saying that she had to be 'ghetto' but she could have made the main character a little more black. aside from the character not being a realistic black girl the book was BORING. i read it only in a day so i could move on to something else. i was extremely pissed that i spent 10 dollars of my money on this book. i could have purchased something else. i know all her books have to deal with the summer but it would be nice if she stepped outside of the 'summer house beach surfing hookups.' the hookups are nice but the summer thing is getting kind of boring and the same as the other books. PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS BOOK!!!! If u do decide to by a hailey abbot book or read one, read ANYTHING BUT THIS!!!!

I started reading this book on a car ride to shop with my mom and I couldn't put it down!! Every time we would get to a store she had to pry the book out of my hands!! Being a highschool sophmore it opened my eyes to how I am and how I tend to be a player!! This helped me to realize that love is out there and not to give up hope when something doesn't go right with one guy!! This book was really good and I can't wait to read more of Hailey Abbott's books!!
