Perfect Mondays by Stanley E. Ely, Stanley Ely

What happens when a Manhattan Jewish copywriter joins a psychotherapy group where he finds himself the sole gay member? Perfect Mondays follows Greg Fine's ups and downs in that delicate place as well as his relationships, humorous and poignant, with friends, potential lovers and family. This novel points a camera at an emotionally charged twenty-first century situation, an unmarried man's slippery path toward his senior years.

A native of Texas, Stanley Ely is a graduate of Northwestern University and Hunter College and a long-time resident of New York City, where he worked in international advertising and taught French and Spanish for many years. His memoir, In Jewish Texas, was published by Texas Christian University Press in 1998, gaining him an invitation as a featured author to the 1998 Texas Book Festival. Ely has published numerous magazine and newspaper articles, including in Poets And Writers Magazine, The New York Blade News, The Harvard Gay & Lesbian Review, The James White Review, and Christopher Street Magazine. Perfect Mondays is his first novel.
