I have given this book as a gift too often to remember. It is written so clearly with so many options for substitutions based on whatever you have on hand or what you prefer. Ever single thing I've made has turned out beautifully, and everyone I've given it to has called to tell me how much they enjoy using it. The soup recipes are particularly wonderful.
