About the Author

Dana Pitts was born in Nova Scotia and grew up in Sarnia Ontario, where he lived most of his life. A graduate of the Ontario Fire College, he enjoyed a successful thirty-five-year career-was awarded his CFO (Chief Fire Officer) designation from the Canadian Association of Fire Chiefs, eventually retiring as Deputy Chief at Sarnia Fire Rescue.

Dana is a first-time author but a lifelong storyteller, having been instilled with a passion for the written word from a very early age, by his mother, Helen-a Grammar School teacher in her youth. He is also passionate about photography, travel, and gourmet cooking (and was the co-owner of the Small Batch Cafe in the city of Kingston, Ontario for several years).

Dana has two grown children and five grandchildren, and he currently resides in Milford, Nova Scotia.
