Sex therapist Allie Shelby has the professional credentials, but she could use a bit more practical experience. Finding the right man to bring out her inner bad girl is tough in a population-challenged Texas town. So when sinfully sexy Cameron Wright rolls back into Shelbyville, Allie wastes no time inviting him to join her in some hands-on research.

Cameron has come home to fulfill his dream of restoring classic cars. Back in high school, he knew the town princess, Allie Shelby, was way out of his league. Today he has even less in common with Allie, so he's shocked as hell when she propositions him. Still, he's only human, so he accepts her offer—and with each encounter, she shows him another, wilder side. Before long, he's thinking about more than just sex.

But while her personal life heats up, Allie's business is about to crash and burn. And she has to convince Cameron that she's one princess who's not looking for a prince to ride to her rescue.

What he needed was a fast girl. With the right tools and a little patience, he'd have her stripped down and ready to ride in no time.

That '69 Pontiac GTO he'd spotted at auction last week was exactly the kind of sweetheart he was looking for. He'd get his hands on one of those babies as soon as possible.

His Cadillac lurched forward with a neck-wrenching crunch and there went his fantasy and his morning. He'd been back in town less than forty-eight hours and some bozo had already rear-ended his car. An omen?

Then came the metallic sound of his bumper hitting the asphalt, and his gut cramped the way it did when he occasionally overindulged in beer weenies.

Cameron sucked in thick Texas air, but the humid stuff did nothing to soothe the sudden burn in his belly. He should've crawled back into bed. The signs had all been there. Shower water icy enough to permanently shrink his balls. Nothing but tap water to pour over his cereal. Boxers the color of Pepto-Bismol after a run-in with a red T-shirt in the washing machine.

His mom always warned him to wear clean underwear in case he was ever in a car accident. Cameron might flirt with other types of danger, but he wasn't stupid enough to disobey Emmalee Wright. He climbed out of his prized possession, a 1963 Caddy convertible with butter-soft leather seats and fins big enough to propel a shark. The car's door handle caught the back pocket of his jeans, and well-washed cotton gave way with a thread-popping rip.

Of all the days to mind Mom's advice.

"Welcome frickin' home," he muttered. Jesus, bare-assed or half of Shelbyville ogling his pretty-in-pink underwear?

Give me bare-assed any day.

His car sat in two pieces in the middle of his hometown's busiest intersection, and people were already craning their necks to stare out the front windows of McIntosh's drugstore and Bitsy Miller's beauty shop. What a way to kick off his career as a respectable business owner.

He stalked to the back of his car to inspect the damage. Cracked taillights, ruined bumper and buckled trunk. Goddammit. Now he definitely wouldn't pick up the garage keys from Scooter Kaynes on time.

The source of his latest run-in with Monday morning madness, who'd almost run him over in her shiny Escalade, was Alice Ann Shelby. Cameron hadn't seen her in years, but he'd recognize that white-blond hair anywhere.

Without a doubt, God was a woman. Because a man wouldn't have thrown him into this mess with the princess of Shelbyville. That big SUV with its oversized grille guard and without one damned scratch was probably her latest indulgence from Daddy, the town's self-appointed king.

Squashing the urge to cover his butt cheek with his hand, Cameron stepped over the bumper sprawled like shiny roadkill behind his car and headed toward Allie. Why wasn't she removing her fanny from her car? Surely she realized she'd hit something.

He peered closer. Her forehead was resting on the steering wheel. Jesus, was she hurt?

He rushed over and jerked open the Escalade's driver's side door. The fear jumping in his belly boiled over into purely pissed off. Hurt, his ass. She was punching buttons on her cell phone like a madwoman.

Cameron swung between the urge to throw back his head and laugh and the urge to beat his head against her hood and bawl. Neither made much sense, seeing as the headache he'd been courting since 7:00 a.m. was currently drilling a hole the size of Dallas through his left eyeball.

Cameron Wright' return to his old town starts off with a bang ... the bang of Allie the banker's daughter's Shelby's SUV colliding with the back bumper of his 1969 GTO. All he wanted was to go home, run his garage, restore vintage cars, meet a girl, settle down and live the kids, the dog and the white picket fence dream. What he finds is a smoking hot sex and personal image therapist with an offer he can't refuse. If I hadn't read it in the introduction, I would never have believed Personal Assets was Kelsey Browning's first novel. She writes with the attention to detail and careful crafting of a seasoned professional and this was a story I couldn't help but love. It's packed with steamy romance, small town sincerity and one chuckle after another as the residents of Shelbyville discover their sexuality with the help of Personal Assets, Red Light Lingerie and a generous supply of Promis Keeper XLs. I loved Personal Assets and I hope you will too.

Allie Shelby is a sex therapist in a small Texas town. To be a success she feels that she needs more hands on experience and she's found the perfect partner. Cameron Wright fits the bill. He's sexy as sin. He's a hometown boy who has come back to open his auto body shop. When these two meet sparks fly. There will be a hot time Shelbyville when these two tangle. Personal Assets is a very sensual story. These characters are polar opposites. Their battles are amazing. Allie is determined to be her own woman. She wants to solve her own problems. Cameron is a gentleman who cares about the lady. He wants to be her champion and solve all her problems. The secondary romance between Cameron's mother, Emmalee, and her longtime friend, Charlie, proves that romance is not just for the young. I loved it. Personal Assets has it all. There are great characters, a passionate romance and a perfect small town setting. Kelsey Browning has done it again.

Allie Shelby takes great pride in helping women rediscover their identities, reclaim their inner strength, and explore their sexual side through therapy at Personal Assests. After college she returned home, took out a loan from her father's bank, and opened her therapy business in an effort to help the women residing in her little town. While her father didn't approve of her career choice, he still gave her the loan, with the hope that her little business venture would be a flop and she'd decide to take up a more reputable career. After the passing of her mother her father has taken his parenting role a little overboard, and has tried to control Allie's every move and decision, so she sees her business as not only a way to help others, but also help her gain a little independence too, and finally free herself from her father's clutches. When she challenges her clients to push their sexual limits a little, they decide to challenge her to practice what she preaches, and encourage her to indulge in a little strings free rendezvous, so she decides to see if her childhood crush is up for some fun. Cameron Wright caught her eye long ago and when she hears he's returned home to open a new business she decides he's the perfect companion for her little strings free mission. Cameron is more than willing to take her up on her offer, but he's a nervous about the strings free part, he's sewed his wild oats and is now ready to settle down, now he just has to convince her that is what she wants to... This was my first encounter with Ms. Browning's work, and I can say with complete certainty that it won't be my last! I loved reading Cameron and Allie's story, and I look forward to seeing what the she has in store for the other characters in the series. The story line was very engaging, inventive, and unlike anything else that I have read in a while, which made for a very refreshing first read. I highly recommend you add this series to your reading list, it's sure to satisfy all your reading needs, and then some! ARC kindly provided in exchange for a honest and unbiased review.

Personal Assets by Kelsey Browning is the first book in her Texas Nights series. This was a fun read and a great introduction to Shelbyville, TX. Allie Shelby was the daughter of the town's most prominent family in Shelbyville. Growing up she was the "good girl" that always did what her mother and father expected of her until her mom passed away. She went to college and came home with her college degree and has opened Personal Assets. Personal Assets is a sex counseling service but it really is so much more than that to her clients. Allie has become strong and independent in spite of her father who has controlled and manipulated her whole life. However, she now needs a "special project" to bring out her sensual and sexual side. Cameron Wright has just returned to Shelbyville from Austin. He's bought the local garage and dreams of restoring old cars to their former glory. He also wants to be there for all of the locals to keep their cars in top shape without the expense of "chain" garages. He was from a very dysfunctional family and supported his mother and his brother from the age of 14. He saw himself as "the man of the family" so his first inclination is to ride to the rescue and fix whatever has broken. I loved Cameron because he was smart and strong and his family came first. These characters are fully developed and the secondary characters added so much to the story. I liked every one of these characters and would enjoy spending time with each one and get to know them better. A smooth plot, insights into each character, hot and sexy times with Allie and Cameron, laugh out loud moments and a story that kept me turning the pages and cheering Allie and Cameron on to an HEA. I will definitely be looking forward to the next book in this series. I was given an ARC by Carina Press in exchange for an honest review. My opinon is my own and was not influenced by the publisher.

I just read the most wonderful book Personal Assets by Kelsey Browning. It is a wonderful story of two people, the "good girl" and the "bad" boy, who is not that bad boy at all. Allie Shelby is a sex therapist; she helps women feel good about themselves. She wants them to take charge of their lives, the way thanks to her father she has never been able to do. Cameron Wright has just moved back to Shelbyville with dreams of restoring classic cars. Allie is the town princess and Cameron believes way out of his league! However, Allie has other plans. Mrs. Browning does a phenomenal job bringing her readers into the story. She takes you on their emotional roller coaster of their relationship. This is one of the things that I like best in a book; it makes me want to keep turning the page to find out what happens next. I want to thank Kelsey for the ARC copy of this book in return for my honest review. If you are a lover of great contemporary romance novels, you will absolutely love this book! Kelsey, could there be another book in the offing between Allie's best friend Roxanne and Cameron's brother Jamie…hmmmmm? Thank you for reading my review. Bravo Ms. Browning this is a stupendous well written book!

Small town romance with heart! Cameron returns to Shelbyville to open a paint and body shop hoping to restore old cars and settle down to a quiet family life in his hometown. Allie has returned to Shelbyville to set up her own counselling business with the intent of helping women feel more comfortable in their skin. The romance is steamy, the writing witty and well done and the book entertaining. The story, as a debut from this author, is a treat and I look forward to reading more books written by her. There are many supporting characters that hopefully will get their own stories in future books. Cameron’s brother Jamie, Beck – the Stanford educated deputy police chief, Roxanne – owner of Red Light Lingerie, and Eden – local cook extraordinaire are the first to come to mind BUT there are also the youth that Cameron and Allie interact with as well as the older women that Allie counsels and potential for others that might show up for automobile restoration or counseling. This small town is ripe for romance and I am sure Ms Browning will do each and every one of them justice!

Captivating, hot, and hilarious.  The issues Allie and Cameron face are real and serious but Kelsey Browning has such a delightful way of slipping in those relate-able moments and some that I could probably never even dream of, that she creates a book that is charming as well as sensuously romantic.

Sweet and sexy, fun and full of sass and wit, Personal Assets was hands down a very fun romance to read. I'm only sorry I let it sit on my e-reader for so long. If you love a good small-town romance, but want something a little different, pick up this book. After all, the heroine doesn't own your typical small business . . . she's a sex therapist. And the hero is very hunky and sweet, not to mention a hard-worker, dedicated to helping his mother and brother out. What's not to love about that? I laughed, I smiled, and I had to break out a fan for the smexy scenes. Win-win! I will definitely be picking up more books by Kelsey Browning in the future, as I really like her sassy writing. Plus, I'm curious to see how some of the other characters' stories turn out. 4 STARS! ~ * ~ * ~ For my full review, including favorite book quotes, please visit my blog, TBQ's Book Palace. 4.5 Stars ~Reviewed by ANGELA & posted at Under the Covers Book Blog Personal Assets was a delightful surprise. I love small town novels and Ms. Browning delivered a novel full of small town quirks. Fans of Victoria Dahl, Marina Adair and Juliana Stone will enjoy this novel. Cameron has come back home to a small town in Texas to pursue his dream of owning his own Classic Car Restoration business. He has been gone for some time and the changes in his hometown will surprise him. Allie is the biggest shock. Everything about her is not what he expected. She is not the same rich, snooty girl he used to know. Where they avoided each other at all cost in high school, it’s quite the opposite now. And even a bigger shock is Allie’s job…and the proposition she has to offer him. I love Cameron. He is your typical small town man who holds strong to his hometown values. His reaction to the new “unconventional” events in his life almost gave him a heart attack. Allie and his mom are women of the Twenty-First Century and this is something he just cannot accept. Don’t get me wrong he’s not a Misogynist by the least. But he’s very old fashioned and has a heart of a “knight in shining armor”. I thought he was sweet and endearing. Fortunately, Allie is a very strong willed woman and she will bring him to his knees and force to the new age. Cameron and Allie were pretty hot together. Ms. Browning did good pairing them up. The secondary characters were well portrayed. Cameron’s mom, in particular, is my favorite. After losing being single for some time, she is finally giving love a second chance. Of course, Cameron will not let that go that easy. I was really awed by his protectiveness over his mom. But how she handles Cameron about her personal relations was a sight to see. Her love story made a great addition to this novel indeed. *ARC provided by publisher in exchange for an honest review

I absolutely, positively, LOVED Personal Assets. The story was a wonderful blend of romance and humor. It felt incredibly real to me. Shelbyville felt like the small town I live in. Allie and Cameron were amazing together. Allie is sweet and sassy all rolled into one. Cameron is passionate and hard-working. This is the perfect contemporary romance! I even loved the 'side' story of Charlie and Em. As I realized I was getting closer and closer to the end of the book, I wanted time to slow down so that I didn't have to leave this charming world Kelsey Browning has created. I can't wait to see what Kelsey comes up with next!

I loved this book, and did not want to quit reading until I had reached the end. Cameron Wright has moved back home to Shelbyville to open a business of restoring old cars. He is sexy, sometimes grumpy, and always adorable. Allie Shelby, happens to be a sex therapist in the same town. She is independent, sassy, and headstrong. When Cameron and Allie, get together, sparks fly and not always in a sexual way. Kelsey Browning did a wonderful job writing this book, it has a great plot, steamy sex scenes and some humor thrown in. Hopefully, there will be more books, that will include the secondary characters of Roxanne, Eden, Jamie, and Beck. Loved them all. I highly recommend this book to anyone that loves romance, sex, and humor. Kelsey Browning did a fantastic job on her debut novel!!

I love Cameron who fixes classic cars he is a man after my own heart because I am a woman who loves classic cars. I love how Cameron wants to help Allie but she is too headstrong to let him. This is a very sexy and steamy read and will keep you reading all night long. I couldn't read this book fast enough and hated to put it down. I fell in love with all of the characters and felt myself rooting for them all. If you love a good romance with some steamy romance then this book is for you. Personal Assets is an engaging smalltown romance that will alternately tug at your heartstrings and make you laugh out loud. The interactions between Allie and Cameron are hot, although they also left me wishing I could bop each of them in the head from time to time. The side romance and growth of Cameron's mom, Emmaline, was a bright touch and really made the book work for me. I'm looking forward to reading Jamie, Beck, Roxanne and Eden's stories as the series continues.

You are all in for a treat. Debut author Kelsey Browning brings us a great new contemporary romance that will have you fanning yourself and laughing at the same time. If you like Jill Shalvis and Shannon Stacey you will enjoy Kelsey Browning's new release, Personal Assets. Kelsey writes witty banter and hot romance in a small town community that will gossip about its people but also support them. Kelsey brings her own level of sass to the story which makes for a very entertaining read. The writing is smooth, the plot is original and the characters are well developed. Cameron and Allie are an unlikely pair. Cameron grew up in Shelbyville but has lived away for awhile. He comes back to town to start up his business and runs into the town princess, Allie, who he learns is running a sex therapy business. While Cameron really wants nothing to do with the princess, Allie is looking for a bad boy to play with. Take two very independent people with their own preconceived ideas about one another and you have an entertaining story. Kelsey does a great job of weaving several plot lines together in Personal Assets and that really made it about more than just the main characters. She does a fantastic job of setting up the town and building the foundation for future books in the series. The romance between Cameron and Allie was not what I expected (in a good way). You always have an idea in your head when you start reading a book of how you think it will go, but Kelsey keeps you guessing and is so fun to experience along with the characters. The intimate scenes were hot, well written and fit the characters and plot nicely. Some of them were down right funny. Cameron learns that Allie isn't just the princess he remembers growing up. She is a woman who is trying to make it on her own and without the interference of her Father who does not approve of her career path. Cameron has his hands full with his Mother who clearly is living a life he is surprised about. You experience a lot of emotions while reading this book, which makes it such a well rounded story. If you are looking for a small-town Texas romance full of sexy, sassy characters who learn heartwarming lessons about family and community I highly recommend Personal Assets!
