He's the most powerful man in Egypt...

For hundreds of years, Egypt and Nubia have been fighting for control of each other's borders. Pharaoh Amonmose, known for his ruthlessness in battle and his cunning wit in politics, takes what he wants and he is denied nothing-until he lays eyes on the ebony beauty named Kama. He regards her as one of the spoils of war, burning her village and taking her as his captive. Mesmerized by her fiery spirit, he's determined to conquer her no matter what the cost.

She's determined to resist him...

With her exotic looks and full curves, Kama is a prize worthy of a mighty pharaoh. But she vows never to be dominated by any male, mortal or divine. The two embark on their own power struggle as Kama fights to keep him from possessing not only her body, but her heart as well.

This was a very good historical multicultre read, which there aren't many, so it's very refreshing to read one and to also read one that is good. If you haven't dabbled in historical romance then not sure how you will like the book or how your torelence for a different pace of scenery will make you feel towards the book. Amonmose was an Egyptian Pharaoh who goes around conquering, he came upon the the Nubian's and Kama a very beautiful Nubian who he captured after the slaying of her family. Throughout the beginning Kama fights the feelings she feels for Amon as she despise being held captive. Throughout the rest of the book Kama and Amon's love grows and it starts to become very interesting with plots, twist and betrayal. Amon and Kama's love really felt like it was destined, you felt it while reading their story even though how they came to be was from something tragic. The beginning of the book takes some time getting into so keep reading it gets better. ****************** Feel free to join my book group on Facebook (Romance Novel Junkies) and fan page ( Romance Novel Junkies Book Reviews). This boo is a testament that looks can be decieving. I saw the cover and expected it to be horrible and a short read. But none the less the overview had my attention so I took a chance and I'm glad that I did. This 468 read is good. I loved the herione's spirit and she is fiesty and biting her tongue is something she did so it made her conversation with an arrogant pharoah more entertaining. This tale does include a little history on the time period so that made it even better for me. (Love history) long story short you won't be disappointed with this one.
