This review is based on an unedited ARC, which goes out to the large reviewers and is subject to minor revisions by the publisher's editorial staff prior to release. "A fast and compelling read, with enough substance, suspense and plot to satisfy. A touching aspect is Rex's developing relationship with his twenty-year-old son, Campbell, whose dormmate at Hilliard University was found hanged, and whose parents ask Rex to investigate when certain suspicions arise, even though the Jacksonville, Florida PD are prompt to rule the student's death a suicide. A solid third sequel to the Scots barrister Rex Graves series, which began with Booklist star-reviewed 'Christmas is Murder.' The recapping is nifty, so you don't need to read the books in order. 'Phi Beta Murder' will be followed by 'Murder on the Moor' in March 2011."

Thoughtful cozy mystery centers around a Scottish dad searching for justice at a Florida college--to save his son from the fate of a dead student. Third in the Scottish barrister (Rex Graves) series, but you don't have to read in order, as separate mystery, different locale.
