Photoactivation of Isomers of Stable Nuclei and Recent Applicationsby Arpad Veres
This study presents the development of the photoexcitation of the isomeric states of stable nuclei and shows how this might be applied in the fields of astrophysics and laser techniques. The author explores the process of irradiating targets, exciting mechanisms, and measurements of isomeric activity, and reviewing measurement techniques, nuclear models, and calculations concerning photoexcitation and its application in astrophysics and gamma-laser techniques. Then an attempt is made to provide integral cross-section values and other more characteristic data of the photoexcitation process. Distributed in the US by ISBS. Annotation c.
