This is a helpful book, but don’t pay the currently advertised price. Wait for the new edition. In terms of readability and information provided, this book falls in between the basic manual provided with the camera and the reference manual that’s available as a free download from the Nikon Web site. The object of the basic manual is to help the user get an immediately successful photograph. The reference has much more detail but isn’t necessarily very readable. The book provides lots of detail on how to use the P610, and it also provides numerous screen shots of the operating system. Additionally, it provides suggestions on when or how to use some of the camera’s many capabilities. It also has an appendix with additional suggestions and helpful hints. Recommended
