Physical Signs In Medicine & Surgery by Fred Ashley White

Physical Signs in Medicine and Surgery - An Atlas of Rare, Lost and Forgotten Physical Signs: The work for this text began over two decades ago as Dr. Ashley White was researching ancient diseases and their initial presentations for prevention of future pandemic plagues. This evidence based paleopathology research has granted Dr. White access to some of the world's most sensitive archaeological sites. These locations have been in England, Scotland, North and Central America, Nine additional countries in Europe, Asia - including Russia and China, the Middle East, North and Sub-Sahara Africa, and South America including the Amazon Basin. This comprehensive Atlas was originally conceived for doctors providing needed care in dangerous, rugged and remote situations often created by catastrophe, disasters, epidemics, and military conflicts. It is within these serious environments that this Atlas can assist practitioners find the most obscure and difficult diagnosis where access to x-rays and modern laboratory equipment are often impossible. Designed with a unique reference style of key words tagged to known medical systems the Atlas functions as an easy to use clinical field manual whether in use in an advanced medical care unit or in the harsh realm of the jungle. This extensive compendium of rare medical findings, together with an incredible group of landmark essays make this the most complete Atlas of physical signs ever published.

Dr. White takes us on a journey into medicine's earliest diagnostic findings. This path brings to light descriptions of physical signs long lost to history. This is not the information you'll find in other textbooks. This is a unique and vibrant narrative that you would recommend highly to anyone considering the field of medicine or to the practitioner that has been at this for years and needs that spark back in their eyes. Very Engaging.

This clinical reference atlas: Physical Signs in Medicine and Surgery by Dr. F. A. White is unrivaled as the most extensive scholarship on the subject. At 800 plus pages it essentially covers every rare expression of physical signs known. If you do not have a clinical atlas, you must have this for your book shelf. It even contains the most obscure zoonotic type diseases, making it your most invaluable infectious diseases reference. This is definitely the only book on the required reading list that was fun to read and when finished you still carry around. To put it in simple terms: Required Reading - Period. That says it all.

Physical Signs in Medicine and Surgery is the most comprehensive resource available for practitioners and students in the clinical fields. Whether you are studying medicine, dentistry, nursing, or veterinary science the answers to even the most difficult diagnosis are in this Atlas. When it arrived I was blown away by how thick and heavy it was, but then after beginning to use it, it has now replaced a half dozen books that were in my satchel. This awesome clinical text and a scut monkey house manual are all you will need for even the toughest residency. It is the - Must Have Book - for learning differentials. Use it, Love it, and Save a Life

Dr. White's Atlas covers the ancient and latest medical scholarship. This book has been a long time in the coming. There are approximately 4000 entries on strange and obscure diseases. This is the one essential study tool that will allow a medical student to out diagnose HOUSE. Phenomenally Interesting.

This book is excellent. Its detail, readability, and 300 references make it a necessary addition to the library of every student in the health sciences. If you want a clinical atlas you will actually use again and again, this is the one, and believe me you will be thumbing through it twenty years from now trying to find the answers to your most difficult cases.
