Haunting...Grodin draws the reader into her emotionally complex story right from the beginning, with lush descriptions of this beautiful landscape, and vivid characters with whom we can readily empathize. Hers is a stunning and memorable debut. The characters are well developed and I found myself empathizing with all of them. Very human. I would certainly recommend this book and feel it would please a wide audience.
"Physics Can Be Fatal" is the perfect cozy murder mystery set in a quaint college town and the beautifully descriptive narrative will keep you turning pages. The main character, Edwina Goodwin, is incredibly likable and engaging and leaves you wanting to read more about her and Police Detective Will Tenney (I love the chemistry between these two!). I do hope this becomes a murder mystery series. I found myself wrapped up in the world of academia at Cushing College and wanting to go back to school for my Doctorate in Physics because the story line is so intriguing. Suspenseful and thoughtful I applaud Ms. Grodin for writing such a poignant murder mystery and can't believe it's her first, because it's crafted like a pro! Highly recommended, enjoy!
