In just over a year, soulsters Fitz & the Tantrums went from the living room to the main stage. The recipe for meteoric success? Six killer musicians, five dapper suits, irresistible songs, some serendipity and one vintage organ.
For some bands, it takes a lifetime to build this success, but few performers deliver an unrestrained blast of soul-clapping, get-down-on-the-floor, moneymaker shakers like Fitz and the Tantrums. Now with the release of their debut full length, Pickin’ Up the Pieces, the troupe is poised get down in dancehalls across the universe. From the Labelp

Great album. It's a nice combo of early 80's pop mixed with 60's soul. A really, really enjoyable listen.
I first heard the song MoneyGrabber on an episode of Criminal Minds and was floored, so I had to research it and find out who the song was by. Then I had to get the cd. I wasn't disappointed! I'm listening to this at work and trying not to turn it up too loud, also trying to avoid getting caught dancing! Groovy!
Great unique sound that cannot be put into a particular genre.
Love this CD. Saw them on Live at Daryl's House and so glad to be introduced to some great music!
