Handsome, rich and with a big heart. That kind of man you only find in fiction. This is Knight King. Soldier, though wealthy. Single and close to thirty. Knight's name could not be more propitious. He has a crush on damsels in distress or young ladies in trouble. To want to save the world seems to be steeped in his personality and soul. But, calm down, that all this package also comes with imperfection. He did not come home to see his family since six years ago. Campbell Faircloth has nowhere to go. With a two-month-old baby in her arms, she knows she will not be welcome at home. But a late flight and a meeting at the airport, can change her life. A new friendship will provide a refuge and a video on Facebook, will turn her messy back into a perfect lie. A family that has experienced many traumas and yet has love and remains united and full of fellowship. Another who apparently has no motive or traumas involved suffers from lack of love and tenderness. There is no affection or understanding emanating from the maternal figure. These are the Kings and the Faircloth. The Kings have several secrets. Some are answered simply at the end of the narrative. Others are on the air and may be answered in the next book, as this is Book 1 of the Kings of Castle Beach series. And well, in addition to the twin sister, Quinn, and the younger brother, Laird, Knight have three older brothers. Some of Knight's traumas are exposed almost at the end of the plot, but the motivation of those feelings remains somewhat obscure. Especially in the aspects that involve his father. The plot is good, but short. It has credible parts, some less so. The ending is expected, a bit cliché and a bit rushed. The way the relationship between Campbell and Knight develops away, interesting. Only two scenes, and after seventy percent of reading, have adult content. Recommended for people who like short and fast plot, with flowing writing. The author did not leave much room for coaxing, but left too much room for inference.

How I feel about this book is written in its title PICTURE PERFECT! The buildup was so beautifully paced. The e-mails, Skype calls...Is it weird to say that i love the fact that we get to see how their relationship grows without the sex?!?! Not to worry we still get to see the sweet and sexy times :) Knight and Cam were such a great couple to start this series with. I was so sad to see how Cam's mom treated her when she came home. I have such a great relationship with my mom so it was breaking my heart to see that. Knight is my second favorite army man (Tristan Lawson is still my no.1 :P). Everything about him was just perfect; his good heart, need to protect Cam and Hazel, to help his family in time of need… As for the King family – i have a feeling we haven't seen nothing yet. With all the tragedy that has happened to them they still remain strong and tight as a family. I'm more than ready to see how things will go with Quinn and Tate. As everyone knows I’m a HUGE Marquita fan…she can do NO wrong in my book and I’m so happy to see she delivered us another great book with amazing characters that we'll get to see and read about as this series continues.

This book was really sweet and romantic read. Campbell and Knight meet by accident at the airport when their flight is delayed because of storm. Knight is a soldier going on his next mission when he spots young, attractive women trying to calm down her young baby.Strong urge to help her takes over him and that's how they meet. Knight is a good men,I liked him.He is a soldier, hones and kind. It's been a long time since he last saw his family,he misses them but some thing from past just won't let him get back. Campbell has had a hard time in her life. She is new single mom,out of money and not in so good relationship with her parents. When they reject her once more she decides to accept Knights help. All Knight wants is to help Campbell with her new daughter and to keep her safe, and all she wants is to settle down and start a new life.So she accepts his offer and goes to his family town where she can finally see her future. This book was really lovely read.It was full of emotions and the characters were very good. But i felt like the book was fast paced. In my opinion there was not enough time for these two characters to really meet and bond, and i felt like the ending was a bit rushed.I definitely wished that we saw more of Knight and Campbell together as a couple. But overall this was really nice and refreshing read.

I loved this book so much. Knight and Campbell were just too cute together. I loved the scenes at the airport. They were so heart melting. Knight is definitely great book boyfriend materiel. I loved Knight's family. After learning about Campbell's parents her getting to experience the King family made my heart happy. One problem Knight and Campbell are living a lie or are they? This is truly beautiful and I can't wait to read more from the series.

I loved this story by Marquita Valentine! It is the first book in the Kings of Castle Beach series and definitely worth reading. I'm really looking forward to reading more books in this series. When Campbell Faircloth meets Knight King in the airport she is just trying to get to her hometown with her daughter where hopefully she will have a safe place to call home, but it doesn't workout that way. Knight King left his hometown years ago when he joined the Army and hadn't really thought he would ever come back permanently, but when he tells Campbell that she is welcome to stay at his place until he gets back from another tour home isn't sounding so bad. Now he wants to come home, home to his pretend wife and daughter. I was given an ARC from the author/publisher. All conclusions are mine and mine alone.

This book was not only fun to read, it was refreshing! Knight King is stranded in the Atlanta Airport because of bad weather and comes to the rescue of Campbell Faircloth and her infant daughter, Hazel. Knight has always been known to come to the rescue of everyone around him but this time it is different, they rescue him just as much. This night spent at the airport in close quarters, pictures taken, and secrets exchanged are almost enough to keep him as he is deployed. Campbell is going home but she is not sure what in in store for her but Knight makes her promise to go to his home if she needs and after one night she is on the road to Castle Beach. However, what greets her when she gets to Knight's family is they think she is his wife and Hazel his daughter. Oh, the lies they weave. Knight and Campbell are pretty much perfect for each other and even though they practically date online for weeks that is enough to cement what started on that fateful night in the airport that started it all. This family is a hoot and I really cannot wait to get to know more of them. Bring on more of this series! I highly recommend this one. It was a good start to what promises to be a wonderful new series. **Received this ARC for review**

I loved reading Perfect Picture Lies by Marquita Valentine, the first book in her new series The Kings of Castle Beach. I felt so badly for Campbell, being a single mom, her baby’s daddy wanting nothing to do with either of them, her parents unwillingness to accept her for who she is, and her lack of finances. Knight understood living in hard times and losing loved ones, especially while deployed with the army, so it was really no surprise that he wanted to help Campbell and her baby. Knight was a fixer, fixing people and situations. I loved how much Knight cared for his two girls and the attraction between Campbell and Knight. This love at first sight story tugged at my heartstrings and deeply moved me. Ms. Valentine created a wonderful story that played with my emotions, even making me cry happy tears. This book exemplifies Valentine’s creativity and sensitive scenes, as well as her outstanding writing ability. She is a wonderful story teller, drawing me into her books, making me forget the world around me as she drew me in and not let me go until I turned the last page. I highly recommend this book to other readers and look forward to the next book in this series. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

What a fantastic beginning to a completely new series by one of my favorite authors! I totally loved Knight and Campbell!!! Knight King is a true "knight in shining armor" and rescues Campbell when she needs it most. In the process they fall for each other. This is their story and it's a beautiful one!!!! Can't wait to see where this series goes! And if you've never read Marquita Valentine, this is the perfect book to start with as it has no ties to any of her other series! Which I've read all of and LOVE!!!!

Marquita Valentine has created an amazing world that I want to live in with her new series, Kings of Castle Beach. From the very start of Picture Perfect Lie, I immediately connected with the characters. I was hooked by the plot and had to know what would happen next. Marquita Valentine completely pulled at my heartstrings as she developed memorable characters with building chemistry. Marquita made it so there was no way I wasn't going to fall in love with Knight King either. He more than lives up to his name and I wish there were more like him in real life. Because when Campbell was down on her luck and no where to turn, a handsome stranger help her like no other could. He not only made her feel safe for the moment, but created a safety net for her to fall into, should she need it. I finished this book hours ago and it is still on my mind. I devoured it so quickly I had to force myself to slow down because as the end was nearing, I didn't want to leave the world Marquita created. The only good thing to come with the book itself ending is that I have more books to look forward to in what is not doubt going to be an incredible series. PS-The cover of this book is absolutely gorgeous!

Picture Perfect Lie is the first book in a brand new series, The Kings of Castle Beach by Marquita Valentine. It’s a sweetly, romantic story with just a hint of sexy. Knight King is a soldier returning to his base for deployment back to Afghanistan when he and his buddies are held up in Atlanta airport by an ice storm. Knight can’t help living up to his name when he sees a young mother who’s obviously on her own and struggling. He moves in and takes control, something his friends razz him about constantly. But, Knight somehow knows this time is different. Campbell Faircloth has hard a tough few years and being on her own with a baby that’s just a few months old is tough. Tougher than she ever thought it would be, so when Knight turns into her saviour in shiny army issues clothing, she feels herself letting go for once. After spending an innocent night together, Knight helps out again and then stuns Campbell with an offer she knows she should refuse, but still wants with all her heart. He suggests she move to his hometown and live in his house. He’s already pretended they were married, so what the heck? When Campbell is left with nowhere else to turn, she find her way to Castle Beach and Knight’s family. His mom and sister welcome her with open arms. Is this the start of a brand new beginning? Or will it all come crashing down on Campbell and her daughter Hazel when the truth comes out? I loved this story, it was a slow burner in the romance department which was carried out in a slightly unusual way due to their circumstances. But, that didn’t stop the chemistry and feelings from bleeding through the words. Knight was a really good guy, who wanted to do the right thing and was ready for love. Campbell was a little more wary and skittish at first, but then as she got to know Knight, it all clicked into place. A sweet and heartfelt ending to a gentle tale.
