This book is excellent. It clearly and logically explains communications procedures in every imaginable airspace. This book is full of examples and real-life scenarios. I highly recommend it to any pilot, expecially those who obtained training in Class G airspace and are nervous at the prospect of entering controlled airspaces.

As most student pilots already know, radio work is often largely ignored during training. Ilman addresses this deficiency by presenting the US airspace and radio system using a clear and effective approach. I heartily recommend this book to all student pilots and new private pilots alike.
