The beloved tale of a wooden puppet who longs to become a real boy is as appealing now as when it was first released in 1940. The beautiful, vintage illustrations in this Little Golden Book retelling will charm children and collectors alike. It makes a great companion to the Platinum Edition DVD being released by Disney in spring 2009!

I just finished reading this to my daughter for the first time, and I am sooo disappointed. When you think of the story of Pinnochio, what is the first thing that comes to your mind? Well, this story makes NO mention of Pinnochio's nose growing. Hello?! I'm baffled. Did somebody somewhere decide that it is politically incorrect to read a story about a child whose nose grows when he tells a lie??

Nothing like Golden Books for a parent to read a fairy tale to a child. The stir theimagination and are inexpensive. I remember them going back 40 years reading tales to my own daughter. Pinocchio was one of my favorites and I could not find it in your store

Walt Disney's Pinocchio is a story about a puppet who becomes into a little boy. One day Pinocchio decides to go out by himself and everytime he lies he nose grows longer. I like this book because it shows children not to lie because it is bad, not because your nose will grow but when you lie their will be consequences. This book is really cute and I really like the little cricket Jiminy.I would like to read this book to my students and maybe other books about not lying and or other bad habits that are wrong. I could read this book and then let them watch the movie, I could also have them write a paper about why you shouldn't lie.
