Connie has a gift of really making you see what's going on in her books! She doesn't spend too long, or too short of a time in one area, or on one subject. I like that. I would have given this book 5 stars, except I did notice that Connie repeats a characters 'emotional reasons' for doing something, a lot. It made me just a little crazy to be told 7 times how that person was 'still' feeling. Twice is more than enough. But other than that, this book was great!!! I look forward to getting more...

This is a wonderful book. I read it in 2 days as I could not put it down. Every character is wonderful and you can really feel the emotion of Guy and Bliss. I didnt want it to end. This is a keeper!

I love this book! I had ordered 4 historical romance books from bn.com thinking that this one would probably be my least favorite but as it turns out, it was the best one out of the four. The book captured my attention so thoroughly that it only took one day for me to finish reading it. It is filled with lots of excitement capable of invoking so many diffent emotions from the reader. There were times when you just want to cry and scream for the injustices that was done to the hero and heroine. This is a great book that I would highly recommend to anyone. If you're thinking about buying your next romance novel then this one would be great candidate!!

Pirate was the first Connie Mason book I read. I took it on vacation with me and couldn't put it down! The characters Guy and Bliss were fun and interesting each in their own right and you really cared for them. The story was adventurous and well-thought out with no loose strings leaving the reader hanging at the end. A good, easy read.
