About the Author
Michael Stockdale was born in the northern England coal mining town Whitehaven. Raised and educated in industrial Barrow in Furness, worked in the local Shipyard. Enlisted in the Merchant Navy and served as an ocean going Marine Engineer. Met and married gifted, Australian classical Ballerina Maureen Feehely, and settled in Australia. They have four grown up children. All excelled academically. Andrew, their youngest son plays guitar and keeps everyone moving.
