About the Author

Annie Joseph is a Commercial Leader with more than 22 years of experience in the healthcare industry (pharmaceutical, OTC and medical device) in Asia Pacific and International. In her professional career, Annie held in country, regional and international roles managing various parts of the business including setting up new businesses, launch excellence, developing new business models, strategic portfolio planning and prioritization, managing country teams and external expert advocacy. She also has experience in building teams and capabilities in Market Access, Sales Force Excellence and Marketing Excellence programs.

Annie has been an active member of the healthcare and leadership community, she was a panel speaker at the 5th Annual Pharma OTC Conference, held in Singapore in 2015 and speaker at the Essec Roundtable- Perspective from Leaders: The Journeys of Four Inspiring Business Women on November 25, 2015.

In August 2015, Annie received the Women Leadership Excellence Award Asia 2015 from CMO Asia. Annie also lectures for the Masters in Health Industries Program for Essec Business School and was featured in The Business Time for Learning Business through Asian Lens (BT, Nov 18, 2015).

Annie has travelled extensively in Asia Pacific and International working with Health Care Professionals, key societies and local teams. Earlier in her career, Annie was posted for a short stint in Mississauga, Canada. In Asia Pacific, she spent a considerable amount of time in core markets like China, Korea, Japan and Australia. Her international role in 2011 covered markets in Latin America, Middle East Africa (including Turkey), Russia, China and Asia Pacific.

Annie is a pharmacist by profession (B.Pharm Honors) and holds an EMBA from Essec Manheim Business School and a Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing from CIM(UK). As part of the program at Essec, Annie did stints with Babson College in Boston on Innovative Management and Entrepreneurial Leadership and School of Management Fudan University, China on Doing Business in China. Annie was also awarded the Valedictorian/Best of Class for the Essec-Manheim EMBA program.
