Plain Cover-Up by Alison Stone

When a speeding car almost hits Dr. Christina Jennings, it's the quick reflexes of FBI agent Dylan Hunter that save her. They soon realize the driver's purpose—dumping an unconscious Amish girl on Christina's doorstep. The small-town doctor's set on finding out who's responsible, but doing so throws her into the path of a killer…and leads her to a past she'd rather forget. On leave after his partner's death, Dylan can't possibly ignore the need to keep Christina safe. But as the man who once shattered her heart, he has to convince her to trust him first. Because the deeper Christina's propelled straight into danger, the more she comes to believe that relying on Dylan may be her only chance for survival.

About the Author

Alison Stone left snowy Buffalo, New York, and headed a thousand miles south to earn an industrial engineering degree at Georgia Tech in Hotlanta. Go Yellow Jackets! She loved the South, but true love brought her back North. After the birth of her second child, Alison left Corporate America for full-time motherhood. She credits an advertisement for writing children's books for sparking her interest in writing. She never did complete a children's book, but she did have success writing articles for local publications before finding her true calling, writing romantic suspense. Alison lives with her husband of twenty years and their four children in Western New York, where the summers are absolutely gorgeous and the winters are perfect for curling up with a good book-or writing one. Besides writing, Alison keeps busy volunteering at her children's schools, driving her girls to dance, and watching her boys race motocross. Alison loves to hear from her readers at For more information please visit her website or Like her on Facebook. She's also chatty on Twitter.

Danger follows their every move... Another great suspense story from Alison Stone! I'm pretty new to her books, this is the third I've read, since I only discovered her this year. Plain Cover-Up is an enjoyable read, hard to put down, with plenty of suspense and romance. Love Inspired Suspense is one of my favorite lines to read and Alison Stone is quickly becoming a favorite author from said line of books. It was fun heading back to Apple Creek and checking in with some old friends, and of course, seeing Dr. Christina get her own story. Plain Cover-Up is the perfect way to to stay cool on a summer day. Kick back, grab a glass of lemonade or ice tea, and enjoy this great little romantic suspense story. (I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for my review. All opinions are my own.)

Alison has done it again and written another story that I read in one setting because I couldn't put it down after I started it. The action and suspense started with the first pages and had me on the edge of my seat until the last pages. As with her other stories, I enjoy the relationship that is shown between the Amish community and the Englischers that are there to support their community. I also enjoyed following the relationship between Dr. Christina and Dylan to see if they could put the past behind them to find their future together. I was given a copy of this book in return for an honest review, and this is another from this author that I definitely recommend.
