WARREN ELLIS is an English comic book writer perhaps best known for having one of the most unique voices in the medium, often focusing on sociocultural and political themes. The British writer began his comics career writing for 2000 AD including serials featuring Judge Dredd. His first work for DC Comics was BATMAN: LEGENDS OF THE DARK KNIGHT in 1996. Among his best known works are PLANETARY, TRANSMETROPOLITAN, THE AUTHORITY, HELLBLAZER, RED and GLOBAL FREQUENCY, all for DC Comics. He has gone on to write for many publishers and has written novels earning him the Eisner Award for Best Writer, the Mystery Writers of America's Edgar Award for Best Mystery, and England's Eagle Award.

JOHN CASSADAY is an American artist whose portfolio of work ranks amongst the best of his generation. Together with writer Warren Ellis, he created the award-winning PLANETARY for DC Comics. He is also known for his pencils on Marvel Comics' Astonishing X-Men, Captain America and Union Jack.
