I'm a father. She hates kids.
And the three of us are going on an adventure with "my niece".
The only woman who can call me "Daddy" is my little girl. I always thought it would be just the two of us – and it was – until I met Lola Lowes.
That crazy, spirited woman drives me nuts.
She keeps me on my toes.
She's also the reason my hair is short and my balls are empty and if she ever finds out about my lies, they will remain empty FOREVER.
I didn't need help. At least I thought I didn't until I met Brook Madden. He was supposed to be a distraction but had become the pulse in my heart.
For the first time in years, I can breathe. For the first time in years, when his niece takes my hand, I feel hope.
But life keeps throwing us curveballs and when he finds out how broken I am, he'll disappear along with all that love I never knew I could have again.
Note: Play With Me is the third novel in the With Me series. Contains spoilers to Sin With Me (Book 2). Can be read as a stand-alone novel

Lola and Brook are perfectly made for each other and their lives are woven together so much more than either realizes when they first meet. I never expected the twists in either the plot or the character's back stories. This story is captivating and the time line parallels a portion of a previous book. While this can be read as a stand alone, I highly recommend reading the series for better knowledge of the secondary characters as they are intertwined in this book. I thoroughly enjoyed this read and I adore the main families in this series. There's the perfect blend of love, adoration, mystery, suspense and action in each book. Pick this up, you won't be disappointed! I received an advanced reader copy of this book and am choosing to leave a voluntary and completely honest review.
Wow! This is a great conclusion to this saga. Lola has been assigned to protect Kate, fulfilling Sebastian’s mission. Burying the pain of losing the man she loved is a struggle but her work keeps her focused allowing her to hide. Brook is desperate to find the woman that blew up the heart his father needed. A one-night stand threw these two together but fate keeps finding a way to repeat that for them. As they both work their cases, it seems they may have even more in common. Add in the amazing Sophie, Brook’s daughter and her friendship with Boo, the bear, and you have a fun, suspenseful, sexy journey that ties up the Mackenzie family saga with the Cortez mafia. I loved her heart-pounding moment and Sophie, well, she steals the show as she captivates Lola and the bear.
**A highly recommended 4.5 stars** The opening prologue of this book is heart stopping, utterly captivating!! It's probably the biggest 'hook' of an opening to a book I've read in a long, long time!! Lola works for Cross Enterprises. She has a crazy outlook on most things in life such as family, children, love, relationships etc Namely .... She doesn't want any part of any of them. She meets Brook Madden in a bar on her last night in New York before she goes back undercover. She's protecting her, now friend, Kate. She's been on Kate's case for 5years now. Brook Madden is a Bounty Hunter. He's also a Dad to Sophie. He picks women up in bars to 'scratch an itch' but definitely isn't looking for a connection, he's had love but is now a widower. He has his daughter & that's enough for him. He's very close with his brothers, Family is everything to him!! This steamy, pulse pounding and at times, humorous tale, keeps you on your toes from the get go. Lola's quirky & feisty personality seems to mellow Brook's more Alpha & forceful one. While his traits smooth her fears out & perhaps show her life is for living!! Sophie Madden was the star ⭐ of this book for me :-) She reminded me so much of my youngest daughter at that age, it warmed my heart & made me laugh so hard at her antics. You will want to throat punch Brook for his idiosy, Shake Lola for her deep rooted stubbornness & then hug them both for their shared but separate pain. But at every turn you'll be rooting for this couple, praying Mr Cortez doesn't ruin them in one way or another or that truths coming to light aren't too much to bare!!! This is a series for the 'reread' pile so it's money well spent … A highly recommended 4.5 stars* Debbie, 1970, UK
