About the Author

I didn't set out to write Urban fantasy, but when I sat with my laptop to begin The Calling, It became apparent that I still believed in the Bogey Men, the Monster in the cupboard and of course, the Faeries at the bottom of our garden. Suddenly I found that I was writing a story of Heroes who could be found both on our doorsteps and in the realms that lie beyond. The scenic west coast of Scotland is where I live with my family.

I read parts one and two of this series and gave them five stars and maybe I waited too long between books because I first I was a bit confused. When I finally got back into the story the characters I remember and a few new ones were there and the author did an amazing job capturing a different world in this fantasy read. I find it astonishing that the author is able to not only keep track of all the characters but also give them personalities the reader can follow along with a love. I won't go into each character because their are so many, but I have to say this book is a mysterious, magical realm of destinies and the author has done a great job. If this is the last of the series as it seems I will miss these people.

I was extremely excited to read the next book in this series. From the very beginning I have been drawn into this series. I love how much detail is given and how it creates a picture while reading. It is very well written and captures your full attention. I had a hard time putting it down and can't wait for more books by this author in the future.

This book is outstanding, and I could not put it down! I have now read all three books of this series, and through each twist and turn, things that I believed in so fully were turned inside out, and I found myself switching sides and perspectives several times. Louise is truly an artist who weaves a story so intricately that it sucks you in before you realize it's three in the morning and you've been up reading all night again. This magical masterpiece never failed to surprise me, and I am waiting with bated breath for her next book. There are very few books where I feel compelled to meet the characters personally, because I feel that we have cultivated such an emotional connection, and this series is a perfect example. Excellent job Louise! Thank you for another epic tale!

This is the third book in this series. When I first started reading it, I was a little confused. It had been some time since I read book 2. There are a lot of characters and a lot of stuff going on. But if you don't have time to re-read the prior book, that is ok, because it works itself out. I loved the Destroyer and to be honest, wasn't sure which guy I wanted her to end up with. Twists and turns made this book unable to be put down. The ending brought everything together, but leaves room for more. You won't regret reading this series. I received this book free in exchange for an honest review.

The destroyer is back. Pledged by Louise G. White brought me back into Carolyn’s world, her universe, really, with all of the characters, their personalities, their quirks, and for some, their intense dislike of each other. Note and Ethan have proven they would do anything for Carolyn, but it seems playing nice isn’t one of them. Must our brave destroyer choose who she loves? She would so rather be slaying demons. Danger, the unknown and the “elixir of life” are about to make Carolyn’s world a lot harder to survive in, to keep others safe, but like any good fantasy driven by amazing characters, good versus evil is never an easy battle, especially if you only have three weeks to do it. Louise G. White has an imagination that shines bright once again as we follow along in a world filled with fairies, different realms, high mages and their apprentices, as well as a leader who is unsure of himself. After all of her years on earth, this world that Carolyn has been awakened to has caused her to come into her own and embrace those around her with their special gifts. Imagine a home with ten levels that you can't see, fairies that learn to mimic human moves, including dance, Amazonians and magic and you have a tiny glimpse into the Ms. White’s world. Fast-paced, filled with twists, and magic gateways, this is a beautiful world to escape to for a few hours and let your own imagination run wild! You’ll love some characters, wonder about others and learn that each plays an important role in Carolyn’s tale. Read the series in order, and you’ll see just how detail-oriented Louis G. White is with wasting a single word! I received an ARC edition from Louise G. White in exchange for my honest review.
