The leading sports massage expert Mel Cash now publishes this indispensable guide to the human muscular and skeletal system. It contains all the most relevant information needed to understand how the human body moves and maintains posture, drawing together knowledge from several different areas of medical science and presenting it in a clear and simple style. The book is essential for all students of human biology, medicine and physical therapy (orhtodox and complementary), and anyone involved at any level in sport, exercise, or dance. I'm a non-clinical layperson who just start trigger point self-treatment and I was looking for a concise reference book that presents pictures of the body muscles from a pretty basic perspective. This book meets that need nicely. It's a little bit bigger than a pocket book, so if you are looking for large, more dynamic photos, something more pricey and larger may be more of what you are looking for.

I just started a course in massage therapy. On the first day we were given a ton of books that contained lots of pictures and lots of information, but they were all very overwhelming. I went in search of wall charts and stumbled upon the Pocket Atlas of the Moving Body. This book will probalby be the most valuable reference tool that I will use during my training and will refer to in my practice. Everything is condensed in a manner that it still makes sense. The detail and clarity of the diagrams are great.
