Highly recommended for tourists: Italian word pronunciation included in almost every word introduced which is very helpful for non-native speaker. Phrases listed in the book are practical for getting around town

The Nook version of this book is useless . It is impossible to read. The charts are  minisicule. A total waste of money.

This is unquestionably the best of all the language "pocket" guides that I have purchased over the years. It is compact and the novice will find it very helpful for pronunciation and some grammar. It is easy to navigate and the phrases are indeed very useful. I appreciated the section, "What every Bambino knows!". I still have all my other Italian language books that I used to teach myself Italian as I am still a "student". However this guide was very useful (as a tourist & student) & I miss it. Now if I could only get my friend to return it to me.
