About the Author

The daughter of a sharecropper and one of six sisters, Grace Payne spent the first forty-three years of her life in rural Kentucky. Now, she lives in central Florida with her wonderful son and their dog Prince, rescued from a life of deprivation and abuse. Grace thinks about changing his name to King, since he rules the household.
