Christine Rice's Poetry for the Heart is a look into the introspection, doubts, and strength of a writer and fellow human along life’s travels. She writes in a clear and straightforward manner that connects to readers on a personal level. I would recommend this work to anyone; but I think even more so for individuals first striking out on their own. It is a shining example of the inner turmoil, emotion, and strength that each person needs to call upon in both good and not-so-good times.

With the 'self's" message it began- relate to it's beauty every one can "Life is about the experiences we take And not the accomplisments we make!" A creative writer who has surpassed all doubt Opens heart to reveal the inner dreams out A message of patience and perseverence is sent To teach young hearts to cherish the present A quick look at Life's  many mysteries  And also at the multitude of difficulties. A passion so beautiful has definitely grown This wonderful writer's dreams her poems have shown An Ode she sings in her mother's lap Watching a purring tangerine taking a nap All poems here are beutiful, this is true- Come and read them, I dare all of you!  :) With Best Wishes To Christine Rice Sushrut 23/7/2014

A good poem not only expresses the poet's feelings, but also communicates them to the reader. While the poems in Poetry For The Heart succeed in expressing the author's feelings, they do not effectively communicate those feelings to the reader, due to the passive voice, lack of figurative language and overuse of abstract words. Emotions are told rather than shown, often through abstract language that, without figurative language, is more suited to aphorisms than poetry. There are very few metaphors, similes or descriptive verbs, and virtually no symbolism. Although heartwarming to read, these poems do not meet their full artistic potential and offer little food for thought. Not recommended.

A Work to be Warmly Remembered Poetry for the Heart, by Christine Rice encompasses the journey of one human along life’s road. The poems are clear, easy to read, insightful, and expressive. Each work with the collection connects and relates to the traveler within all of us. It is a pleasure to read, and leaves one with the feeling of being an intricate part of the whole that is the humanistic existence. I would recommend this work to any reader without hesitation. I have no doubt that it will leave them, like myself, feeling a resurgence of inner strength through the reflection of one’s own life. Wonderful work.
