This thriller is about cyber security, and we follow Tom Corcoran through New York City and New Mexico as he tries to find Kelly and understand what's on the drive she mailed him. The plot gets more complex as he digs deeper, and I really liked how the elements of cyber security and motive came together. I think my favorite part of the book is the cast of characters we meet. Tom Corcoran is likeable and engaging as the main character. The others have that blend of unique and believable that I find so appealing. I look forward to a sequel!

The characters are believable, and likable. The plot gets more and more completed and I like how cyber security, motive and greed all came together.

Point of Presence surprised me. First novels, particularly from writers of nonfiction, can be disappointing, to say the least. Clyne, however, writes mystery like an old pro. Tom Corcoran is a slightly lost and confused hero whose stubborn desire to help an old flame drags him deeper and deeper into a high-tech plot to take over the world of commerce. From the first page, the reader is drawn into Corcoran's world. A very enjoyable read!
