About the Author

Dr. Haridwar Singh (b. 1949), having a brilliant academic record secured first class first position at both the B.A. Hons. and M.A. (Pol. Sc.) levels. He was also awarded gold Medal by the university for the same (M.A.). He obtained his Ph.D. degree in 1982 from Magadh University, Bodh Gaya. He joined as a faculty member in Political Science under Magadh University, Bodh Gaya in December, 1972. He has been teaching political science for about 39 years as Lecturer / Reader/ University Professor / Principal in various constituent colleges and P.G. departments under Magadh University. He has been serving in various colleges of the Magadh University as principal for about 24 years since April, 1988. At present he is the Principal (in Professor's Scale) at A.N. College, Patna (A constituent Unit of Magadh University) accredited with grade ‘A' by NAAC and accorded CPE status by UGC.
