Sexy, kinky read...4.5 stars as culmination slightly less than anticipated. However throughout the book expectations were met or exceeded...so overall really great read!

This was a huge hit for me. I loved the build of the relationship between Max and Aiden. Yes, there is a BDSM element, it's there and in your face, but it was more about them learning to trust and grown together. They fall in love and they fall deep. There is very little angst; for which I'm grateful. Max wants to be everything to Aiden, to give him all that he needs and fulfill his fantasies. He makes mistakes and owns up to them. He is determined to give Aiden all of himself. Aiden starts out attracted to Max and curious about the BDSM lifestyle. He quickly learns that in giving himself to Max he finds out who he is and his place in the world becomes clear. The ending is wonderful. I left them with a smile on my face. Highly recommended series and author Adult read

FourStars This is the 3rd book in the series but you could read it as a standalone. If you read Tag Team then you will remember one of the scenes in this book when Grant is having a skype session with a patient and Aiden is in the background. Grant (aka Max) is an established Dom who happens to need coffee every morning. His coffee maker dies, goes to the coffee shop and sees Aiden and is instantly smitten. Grant has always been confident and sure of himself but Aiden has him all tongue tied. I find it sweet and endearing. Aiden is your average 20 something guy and basically vanilla, but of course has seen things online and is curious. Grant and Aiden go on a few dates and eventually Grant is introducing Aiden to his kinkier lifestyle. What comes as a shock to Grant is that Aiden happens to share one of his fantasies, pony play. The chemistry and sex between Grant and Aiden is off the charts. I love how they click even when they both have doubts about how they feel. I liked that there wasn’t a lot of angst or drama, I needed an enjoyable book and that is exactly what I got. I love this series and can’t wait for the next book. I was given this in return for an honest review by Inked Rainbow Reads. Angie

I thought BDSM was about the sub having the power? In this book, it seemed that Max wanted his needs to be met first. I'd have thought there'd be more give and take between a virgin and an experienced Dom....not too many "I'm sorry's" from Max. Could've been knocked down a few times, and shown some of Aiden's power.

The third book in the Guards of Folsom series touched on a kink that I don't have a lot of knowledge about. Pony play is a fetish that I have not read about in very many books and I was intrigued to learn more. A happy accident brought Max and Aiden together, who knew a broken coffee pot could change the course of your life. Max is comfortable in his life. He plays with the subs at the club but isn't looking for a 24/7 relationship. He seems settled but not necessarily happy, he has a routine that has become boring. When Aiden professes an interest in kink Max is happy to introduce him to all the life has to offer, on a temporary basis. Aiden grew up on a farm but always knew he wanted to live in a city. He wanted the hustle and excitement the city had to offer but has found it to be a bit overwhelming.  When we first meet Aiden he doesn't seem to have any real direction in his life and comes across as younger than his age would suggest. He has friends, but even those relationships seem superficial. This book dealt more with the psychology behind submitting to someone but still retaining you identity. Aiden's fear of losing himself had a very real feel to it. How do you give up so much control and still be you? It also deals with changing aspects of relationships. The way things start is not how it has to stay, but can you change the dynamic of a relationship once it has been established? Especially with one that is as set in rules as a D/s. I enjoyed this addition to the series and thought it went in ways that I didn't quite expect. I can't wait to see which kink is up next!
