About the Author

J.P. Bowie: I was born and raised in Scotland. Moved to London and worked in several West End shows before immigrating to the United States. First port of call was Las Vegas where I worked backstage with the Siegfried and Roy Show at the Mirage Hotel as Head of Wardrobe for the legendary stars. Another move more recently took me and my husband Phil to San Diego where we intend to stay! Love sunny San Diego.

An exellent addition to the Portrait series - great to catch up with Peter and Jeff and their friends and of course Peter's terrific mother! Olivia Winters is a daytime host and a total bitch. She invites Peter and Jeff on her show after she's read in People magazine of Peter's psychic abilities and Jeff's private investigations. She's being threatened by someone she considers a religious nutcase. Things get worse when Olivia has Emily, a friend of Peter's and a victim of child abuse. Won't go into more details as they would be spoliers, but this is a really engrossing read, lots' of humor along with the mystery and some fun characters, specially Winifred and aging movie star who lives in the same building as Olivia and who can't stand her. There's a murder that I felt bad about, but in the end everybody gets what they deserve. Loved it!
