It is a good book if you're interested in the historical aspect, tracing all the way back to the Middle Ages. However, I was expecting more focus on the recent shift in power dynamics between big corporations and governments in the twenty and twenty-first centuries, so the book was a letdown. I hoped for more insight into the rise of big corporations and how it impacted various parts of our lives, from geopolitics to environment to standards of living, through their decisions (e.g. wage, outsourcing, political lobbying). A bit disappointed.

A very good history lesson from viewpoint of social and economic power, concentrating on corporation's involvement from early in history, and the interplay with government. I am only hesitant on agreeing to his optimistic future of economic justice at the end.
