This is a quick read of a couple who develop feelings for each other while in danger and share their life struggles with each other.

Loved this story. The author did a great job of putting suspension and romance together.

I appreciated that the writer conveyed knowledge of tactical operations, I just couldn't get behind the Hero's lack of professionalism and self control. And for a guy who "doesn't like navel gazing" he sure does spend a lot of pages of inner monologue. And the fact that the whole helicopter scenario could've been safe and effective if they weren't having sex instead was super frustrating.

I do not type this lightly. After reading at least 15 duds in a row, this book was refreshing. I normally cringe at SEAL vs pretty lady kidnapped in the jungle, escape books. This kept my attention. This book is very much written in the style of the old western books, except modern day. I look forward to reading more of her books.

I have been a fan of Sandra Marton for years - her books are so well written with amazing heroes/heroines and unique secondary characters. Her Wilde series had kept me on pins and needles until the next sequel is released. Her most recent book, Power: Special Tactical Units Division (In Wilde Country Book 3) is definitely one of her best! The injured hero Tanner Akecheta is as alpha as they come, but with a heart of gold. His mission is to rescue kidnapped Alessandra Bellini Wilde and this will be one of his most challenging missions. No spoilers from me, but their chemistry is explosive! Don't miss this incredible book!
