Practical Gardener: An A-Z Guide to Techniques and Tips

Learn how to start growing seeds indoors, how and where to transplant your growing plant to your backyard, and ways to help your plants combat the perils of the outdoors - shade, frigid temperatures, and drought - all within the pages of this thorough gardening resource. The Practical Gardener: An A-to-Z Guide to Techniques and Tips uses charts, color photographs, and informative text to elaborate on fruit trees, flowers, vines, shrubs, and rock gardens.

Start with the explanation of how to select a bulb and soon you'll be on to growing the garden of your dreams, whether it be one for pure visual enjoyment or one that grows delicious foods. Covering such topics as fertilizing roses, pruning plants, and drying flowers, the book will make growing a garden such a great experience you'll want to extend the season ... and the book will tell you how to do that, too!
