Practical Steps to Financial Freedom and Independence by Usiere Uko During these times of financial difficulty, people are always looking for ways to increase their income and expand their finances. Author and personal finance expert Usiere Uko has provided help in this matter through his latest book release, Practical Steps to Financial Freedom and Independence: Your road map to exiting the rat race and living your dreams. Uko does an excellent job outlining the steps you need to take in order to achieve your financial dreams. He relates his own personal experience with each step and adds a bit of humor throughout the book to liven up what could be a dull subject. He provides a no-nonsense approach to improving your financial circumstances. One suggestion throughout the book is to change your mind set from negative to positive. Instead of thinking about what you don’t have, focus on what you do have. Instead of telling yourself that you can’t do something, focus on how you can accomplish what you want. In addition, Uko recommends you get your financial house in order. This means knowing exactly what you owe and what your net worth is, as well as preparing a will for the future. He also highly recommends that you pay yourself a percent of your wages, even if you start off with only one percent and increase the amount as you can. Another point Uko makes is that people need to spend ‘below’ their income rather than spend within their income. He stresses it isn’t necessary to have the latest gadgets nor keep up with the neighbors in buying items for appearance sake. Practical Steps to Financial Freedom and Independence is written in simple terms making it easy to follow. There are step by step practices that help you discover where you are and where you want to be. The book stresses that changing your attitude about money and finances is the first step toward reaching your dreams.
