He’s a man in possession of a large fortune….but is he in want of a wife?!
It is a truth universally acknowledged that Natalie Dashwood loves to shop. After all, as the heiress to the renowned London department store Dashwood & James she’s been wearing designer shoes since she could walk! But a socialite’s life isn’t as perfect as you might imagine… Natalie’s spending is spiraling slightly out of control, her rock star boyfriend is engaged to someone else, and it seems the family business is in financial crisis. New high-flying business exec Rhys Gordon has been brought in to save the company from ruin, but what are his motives? And infuriatingly even a shoe-shopping spree can’t take her mind off his distracting and oh-so-charming smile… Couture and confetti mix with scandal and intrigue in this wonderful tale of retail, romance and redemption.

Prada & Prejudice by Katie Oliver is an adorable escape into the best shopping spree ever! While Natalie's spending is spiraling out of control as a reader it a real joyful adventure. A perfect summer read by the pool or winter treat by the fire. Just what I needed! This plays out like a Hugh Grant movie. Original and yet an air of familiarity. Like putting on comfy Jammie's on a snowy night. I could see this on the big screen or on the tabloids or the Hollywood gossip program, TMZ. This could be a summer release that is a box office success. Scandal, romance, paparazzi, money, intrigue and whole lotta shopping bliss. What more can a girl ask for? More shoes and another Katie Oliver book!!! Great fun all the way through. Quote ~ As they sucked into the store's service lift, Rhys glanced back at her. "You're not upset?" "Why would I be upset?" "Well, we're being chased by the paparazzi...your famous ex-boyfriend is engaged to his ex-wife...and you and I are the featured story in every red-top in London." Nat shrugged. "Oh, well - being papped goes with the territory when you date a celebrity. And Keeley and Dominic? They deserve each other. He never got over her, you know." She smirked. "Or losing access to the masses of money she makes."
