Prayer as Night Falls: Experiencing Compline by Kenneth V. Peterson

This look at the ancient prayer of Compline reveals how the "Compline phenomenon" led to the resurgence of contemplative spirituality, and the rediscovery of Christian monastic traditions, during the last half century. Through personal anecdote as well as a history of spirituality, Ken Peterson explains what this prayer is about, its words, why people sing them, and how the practice of Compline deepens a Christian life.
