Reading Nathan Singer is like sliding down a beautiful mountain, losing your footing, reaching for earth. The people in this Cincinnati, Ohio story are so real, so developed that you really feel as if you know them, know their stories. You can't tell a story like this by pulling punches, that's for sure. And Singer doesn't. This book is honest, and it's as beautiful as it is brutal. You end up knowing Dawn Mican and knowing the story, as real as it is.

I thought this book was terrible! I usually stick with a book and attempt to read on even if I'm not getting into it. It almost immediately started out with sex and some bad language. I can deal with a little bit of both if I must, but thiswas just ridiculous. I can't believe that every character, even a young girl, has to talk about sex. I wouldn't waste my mo ey if I were you. I'm glad that I only paid .99 cents when I purchased it.

This was a great read. For those who can't stomach uncomfortable, realistic, dark subjects then this book isn't for you. I appreciate the authors ability to confront multiple taboo subjects in a gripping, can't put the book down manner. I read this in one day but will be thinking about it for days to come.
