Overview

A tragic haircut leaves Kristen looking manlier than a New York Jets linebacker. Will she be condemned to a season of trying to find cute hats when, as everyone knows, hats are so over? Meanwhile, Claire got everything she wants -- new camo Converse high-tops, bag and bags of gummies, and best of all, her first ever cell phone, from Massie. Although Claire's now an official member of the Clique, presents don't matter to her -- all she really wants is her first kiss from Cam, of course!

I think that "The Pretty Committee Strikes Back," is a great book. It is a fast read and is really hard to put down. If you want to read this book I suggest that you read the rest of the series first. In this book, Massie Block and her friends (Alicia, Dylan, Kristen, and Claire) are going camping for a school trip. They later find out that the boys from Briarwood are coming on this trip, too. The girls aren't fond of going camping, but they take this opportunity as a chance to show the rest of OCD their fashion sense and to score some of the Briarwood boys. When Dylan Marvel tells her mom about the camping tripa, her mom decides to come and film the camping experience as a video for her worldwide famous TV show. The only problem with this is that Dylan isn't the only one trying to score a boy. Her mom is getting too close to one of Dylan's teachers. What will happen to the Pretty Committee when they go camping? What will happen to Dylan's mom and teacher? Read the book to find out. I rate this book 5 stars.

I definitely liked The Pretty Committee Strikes Back the most out of all the Clique books I've read so far. It has a lot of drama, laughs, and it shows me not to be as spoiled has the Clique girls are. When Massie,Alicia, Dylan and Claire go to Lake Placid for a 3-day field trip, Lisi wrote it so descriptively that I could easily picture it in my mind. I would recommend this book to girls of a certain age of 12-17. Mostly the Teen girl population would love this book because it maybe the book has the same situation that any girl could be having. The girls who love drama, gossip, and laughing should enjoy this book. I would recommend it as a good read for girls who love suspenseful and funny books about a group of girls who rule their school.

This book is a joy for all ages to read, i am an elder woman, so giving this book to my grand daughter was a joy. I remember back when i was younger that we had cliques like that too, and i think still today we do. So i think that it would be right for all teens to read that and know about the dangers of middle school. I think it is tough to survive in these days, i was on of the POPULAR people in my day, so this book is like...um...my LIFE when i was their age.

This book continues the drama of The Clique when The Pretty Committee heads into the woods for OCD's outdoor education trip. The Briarwood boys are coming on the trip as well, and they are staying just a few cabins away from all the girls. Always in charge, Massie uses this as an opportunity to start a "kissing clinic" and make the girls of OCD think she's: A, an experienced kisser, and B, totally in control of all the social relations that will happen in the woods. But Massie has never kissed a boy, so it could be hard for her to teach her clinic... Meanwhile, Kristen is financially unable to go on the trip, so she has to find a way to solve that... And Claire is more than ready to upgrade her relationship with Cam and kiss him, but how long can she wait? As if all of this (and the change of setting) weren't absorbing enough, The Pretty Committee experience a shocking twist of fate at the end of the book... Lisi Harrison is a great writer and I hope all the drama-lovers out there end up reading The Clique.

Ok, obviously the majority of you people reading this review are parents debating whether or not to order these books. ha. don't get them unless you want your daughters to act like the girls in this book. basically, all the books in the series are about snobby rich stuck up wannabe girls who make a big deal about everything about boys and friends..it has no message at all. you might as well watch mean girls with your 5 year old.

i go to a boarding school in westchester and every1 knows about these books, and they're totally made fun of. basically everybody is rich and preppy but the way this author writes about this elite crowd of girls is to name drop and show the cliques, obv. im not bothered by these books, but they r just stupid... ..one question, wats the point? if ur wearing some michael kors wedges marc jacobs aviators or new dries van noten summer minidress, u dont have to tell the whole world. seriously, ur corrupting these public school ppl so that they can think their life is exactly like these novels. get a life and dont read this. our assignment in english was to write a review for a book and support our decision to tell u readers NOT to read it. it was my hw..dont get mad

Their Baaaaccck! When the Pretty Commitee goes to camp, they find out that they have to be going with BOYS FROM BRIARWOOD. but, as always, they cannot interact with them after dark. So that gives the challenge. They deliberate on clothing, they then get other people to pack for them. So when they find out that they are all sharing the same cabin with some of their friends, no problems are that bad compared to: hiking, running, training. What will make it all end? Boys, of course. Derrington is trying to hook up with Massie, and Claire and CAm broke up for a little bit. So, when Claire sneaks into his cabin as a boy, they make up until Cam sneaks into her cabin as a GIRL, which is pretty hilarious. BUt, will both relationships last?

In this continuation of the Clique series, Massie and the girls are going up to Lake Placid for Presidents Day weekend. The perfect spot for Massies kissing clinic-M.U.C.K..But is Massie in over her head when it comes to kissing? She puts her popularity and her reputation on the line to get that first kiss. This was a good link in the series, I liked the new setting instead of the same old OCD school. Great surprise at the end that made me run out and get the next one right away.
