I love Karin Slaughter and am a big fsn of all.her books. Although I am a little bummed that she did not go back to Sara Linton and Will Trent, this book was like so many of her others- just impossible to stop reading until it was finished. Im hopiing that.she can get back to her characters that readers can follow along book after book, but between this and Coptown, it seems like she may be into writing stand alone books for a phase. Regardless, I enjoyed this book very much. As always the characters and plot were well developed.. For the most part it was a good read. The ending lacked a.little for me- it may have seemed a little far fetched but still a good read.

One of Ms Slaughter's best books. Stayed up all night. Couldn't put it down.

Karin Slaughter at her best. Not for the easily offended or faint of heart. Fantastically paced with characters we care about.

Fast paced and exciting. Couldn't put it down. Was totally shocked how things turned out considering how the story opened. I definitely recommend this book.

Have to say, i've sort of become bored with some of her latest books. This one however, jumps outside the box. Gripping, alarming, but the father's journal entries soften a very harsh story. A perfect balance of horrific and touching. A must read.

I could not put this book down! It was riveting, reminiscent of James Patterson "Swimsuit", though that book of his was true. Well worth reading!

I love all Karin Slaughter books I have read and I am pretty sure I have read most of them. Her Will Trent series are one of my favorite series. All said this book was too Graphic for Me to give it a higher score. Which is sad because it had an interesting story line. I an sad also that I paid over 12 bucks for a book I could not love.

I found the book disturbing and violent to women. I was glad the sisters took control of their lives.

Loved it, couldn't put it down. It is graphic but that is what made it so good you could picture it your head the whole time-scary! I think this one would make a great movie!

Intense. Mysterious. Dangerous. Visceral. This one kept me on my toes. The graphic details will stay with me for some time. The writing was purposeful and moved quickly. If you like reading about the triumph of good over evil, then pick this one up. It will grab you from start to finish.

I am always in for a good mystery but this book was too graphic even for me. It was also woven together by the father's journals which only served to try and bring an emotional point of view to the story, but seemed rather out of pace with the narritive.

This was an excellent book. Couldn't put it down. It is quite graphic and if you don't want to read about murder, abduction, and rape then this book isn't for you. Lots of twists and turns.

The plot is gripping and keeps you at the edge of your seat. At the beginning I wanted to give the book 5 stars but it is too graphic in depicting violence against women and I could not help but having a sense of dread .

This, I'll tell you About it. Karin Slaughter is one of the best American mystery writers out there. She develops her characters better than most of them. She knows how to make you (me?) care about their lives. She doesn't load the reader with plot details all at once. Her plots are interesting, gripping. This is really good, and I like her use of Sam's diary to fill in gaps, and give the reader a breather

I just want to say I am terrified of walking alone at night after reading this book. The first night after reading more into the plot I kept having vivid nightmares related to book. I am just awed...

I usually don't write reviews but can not resist on this one! I could not put this book down! I would be reading well into the early morning hours and simply didn't care! "Pretty Girls" certainly took over my life! My heart was racing the entire time! I have already suggested it to several friends! A must read! Absolutely worth 5 stars!

This was a great read! I did basically did nothing for two until I finished it! It is a little graphic or brutal, so if you are easily repulsed by sexual deviation then you may want to pass. Cant wait for her next book to be out whether it is a stand alone thriller or something from her series

I loved this book! Karin Slaughter has the unique ability to bring the characters to life. You can feel their emotions, pain and heart pounding excitement. The suspense-filled pages make it extremely difficult to put down. Can't wait for her next book! Hopefully, Will Trent will be in it!

Disturbing but unable to stop reading. It was a page turner and although fictional it really showed me that people are capable of hiding there truest nature behind closed doors.

As always, Ms Slaughter keeps me reading well into the wee hours of the night. The level of violence in this book is only superseded by the level of psychopathology. This is a difficult read for those that have experienced violence and loss but although the story is fictional, we need to be reminded to be fully present in the lives of those we love. People can be torn from the fabric of our lives without warning and we are left to find a way to go on.

Good read that wants you to find out more..you keep reading and an event happens, then all pieces fall in place. The subject matter is unthinkable but the story makes you want to see the ending, quickly! It had me guessing, searching and surprised at every page I turned.
