Suspenseful. The love story was beautiful.

I received a free copy of this book for an honest review. From the first page I was drawn into this fantastic suspenseful book. Had many twists and turns along the way. I was not expecting the ending at all. The type of suspense I love to read. Keeps you guessing until the end. Conner Perigo and Seth Harrington are partners in the FBI’s Violent Criminal Apprehension Program (ViCAP), at the San Francisco office. For the past 10 months, they have been trying to find the serial killer, “Simons Says”. Conner and Seth’s Chief Logan Kelly has sent them to bring an ex-profiler, Adrienne Jeffries to help with the case. Adrienne had worked for the San Francisco FBI office 10 years ago, but quit after working for 2 years. What makes Adrienne decide to return to help the FBI? Who is “Simon Says” and why is he killing women? Who will be his next victim? Will Conner and Seth be able to stop him in time?

I received a free copy of this book for an honest review. FBI Agent Connor Perigo is working hard to end the killing spree of the elusive ‘Simon Says’ and is more than skeptical of the supposedly psychic abilities of the young woman thrust into his investigation by his superior. Adrienne Jeffries has his attention though – an immediate, intimate pull that Connor would rather push aside. He struggles to fight his growing feelings even as Adrienne proves her abilities in spectacular fashion. Soon though, it’s Adrienne that needs protecting, from Connor’s desires and Simon’s wrath. A perfectly breath-taking, sensual, non-stop thrill ride from a very talented debut author.

The heart raising and nail biting suspense of the story keeps you guessing, with unexpected twists and turns. The spooky paranormal abilities of the heroine to sense and hear evil thoughts, while questioned and distrusted by the hero, shows spine-chilling accuracy in the cafe scene. The romance and attraction in the story is convincing and sweet. The characters are engaging and enjoyable, their chemistry obvious and charming. The author has a pleasant flow in the story, spiced up with witty, humorous, and entertaining dialog. Absolute pearl!
