Val has lived a lifetime thinking his destined mate died a horrible death at the hands of their enemies as a child. Now that he realizes she is alive, he’ll do anything to get her safe and where she belongs—with him. But the feisty fire spirit has lived her entire life answering to no one, forced to protect herself and her adopted sister with no help. The battle for her heart may prove harder than the one to keep her alive.

Gitana Danson She never expected to discover the world she grew up learning about was real. Her home. Her people. Her destiny. When a handsome prince arrives on Earth with information on her sister’s location, she’ll do anything to find her—including returning to Mysk, a world where she’s far more than a poor salesgirl pinching pennies to buy groceries.

Her return sends a shockwave through the Mysk planets. Enemies resurface, determined to stop the predestined return of all the mates of the Mysk princes, a destiny foretold by the oracles upon Gitana’s return.

This was a great read! I was intrigued enough after reading to look for more books by Cara Carnes. She has a great writing style and the story line was interesting. Not for the timid who can't handle it when things get steamy but definitely for those that can take the heat.

Very disappointing. The lead woman didn't know what she wants so she's all over the place and the male spoke of himself in third person. Didn't finish the book only got through half of it. Defiantly not worth fife bucks.
