Princess (Ascension Trilogy Series #2) by Gaelen Foley

Dear Reader,

I'm so proud to introduce Gaelen Foley, a captivating new writer who will sweep you away with this unforgettable story of forbidden love and wondrous destiny.

Darius Santiago is the King's most trusted man, a master spy and assassin. He is handsome, charming, ruthless, and he has one weakness--the stunning Princess Serafina. She is all he has ever wanted and everything he cannot have. Serafina has worshipped Darius from afar her whole life, knowing that deep in the reaches of her soul, where she is not royalty but a flesh and blood woman, she belongs to this dangerous, untouchable man. Unable to suppress their desire any longer, they are swept into a daring dance of passion destined to consume them both until a deadly enemy threatens to destroy their new love.

PRINCESS is historical romance at its best--full of adventure, intrigue, and pageantry--from an amazingly talented new author whose storytelling career is  just beginning. . . .

Enjoy!

Princess is definitely a must-read. It is a powerful tale of love between two passionate people . Darius Santiago remains my all time favorite hero ' and I've read a lot of historical romances' He's handsome, he's witty, he's the kind of man you'd sacrifice anything to be with. Best part about this book is that you'll carry on dreaming about Darius long after you've read the last chapter. You won't want this story to end. This book is a page turner till the very last page. ou won't be dissapointed.

I loved this book so much. PRINCESS is the most romantic book i have ever read. The story begins with the darius saving her from a madman in her own home. In a few days Serifina is to be married to a russian ruler to build alliance between her land and The Ruler. The only hitch to this is her heart. She is madly in love with her protector Darius Santiago. He is the only one for her inside and out. There's none she wants to give her body to, except for him. Her father sends Serifina away to protect her from the evil that is trying to get at her. Mostly he needs to save her from her future husband Anatole. Serifina,or her father, is yet aware of this evil within the mans heart and mind, but Darius is. Darius cannot take his eyes off of her, nor his mind. Even with his misstresses it is on her. It is her and her alone he wants, and loves. A difficult past between him and Serifina still lingers. Darius knows he is meant for her... he is destined. When he is sent to protect her in a secluded house with only his gaurds, and more importantly her. How can he resist?? Darius has tried time and time again. The thought of bieng a mangy thief and illgitamate still haunts him along with his secret past. There is no way he can take serifena, her parents took him in. He couldn't repay them like that. But how can he resist??? The Lovers throes of passion are real and so is this book. PRINCESS is the best book i have ever read i highly reccomend it. There are no flaws aonly true love. I HIGHLY rccomend Gaelen Foley and her other wonderful love stories and and beautiful tales of true love. SC :)

This is my first Gaelen Foley novel, and she is great! 'Princess' is a decadently romantic story between Serafina and Darius, filled with adventure, witty dialogue, strong characters, and, of course, love. There are very few romance authors out there who can combine an effective, well-written story with magnanimous characters. Gaelen Foley is definitely one of them!

Overall Rating: 4.35 // Action: 3.5 / Emotion: 4 / Romance: 3.5 / Sensuous: 2.5 / Suspense: 4 // Historical Flavor: 2 / Humor: 1 / Tears: 3½ {¿¿¿¿¿} *Princess* immediately drew interest by introducing Darius Santiago and Princess Serafina di Fiore in the exciting opening rescue scene that featured the lovelorn thoughts of each character regarding the other. Foley did a great job of keeping that interest as she wove a fascinating and sensual story around their unrequited love. {¿¿¿¿¿} This Historical Romance will appeal to readers who enjoy a bit of intricate suspense woven into the emotional and romantic struggles that Darius and Serafina encountered as they dealt with the well-developed secondary characters and multiple events getting in the way of their happily-ever-after. {¿¿¿¿¿} See Wolf Bear Does Books for a more in-depth, detailed review of *Princess*.
