***ARC provided by Edelweiss in exchange for an honest review*** I thought this was a nice little tale. As with most novellas, it did leave me wishing for a longer story, but I'm greedy. Alexandra may have been a little forward for the time period, but I think the author made it work. She was also a really likable heroine, which I appreciated. She was independent and went after what she wanted, albeit a bit more enthusiastically than was appropriate. LOL But it made the story fun. I liked the set up with the way the characters met and how they were immediately drawn to one another. I think they both had interesting back stories that were just begging to be fleshed out. Kintore, the lead male character in the book, was quite brooding and angsty, but given what happened it was fitting. The pace of the story was pretty quick, but again, that's to be expected with a novella. I would definitely recommend if you were looking for a quick, sweet read.

Great novella. I wish it was longer. I know it's a novella, but I would loved to have read more. It was that good. I can't wait for the next book!

Princess Alexandra has come to Scotland to find a husband. Her cherished tutor has given her the inspiration that Scotland is the perfect place to find true love. She has been widowed for two years and she must produce the 5th heir to the throne. If she doesn’t find a husband one might be chosen for her by the king. Caught in a snow storm, Lord Kintore finds himself trapped at a local inn. Upon entering he sees a beautiful woman asleep in the main room. Taken by her beauty, Kintore kisses her awake. Immediately Alexandra response with like passion, Kinton is looking for an interlude but soon discovers Alexandra’s lineage and this confirmed bachelor wants nothing to do with marriage. But Princess Alexandra has other plans. This was a quick an easy novella. Since the story was brief the character development and emotional attachments seemed a little rushed. That being said, I found Princess in Disguise a cute, hot, romance and an enjoyable read. This copy of Princess in Disguise was given to me by Pocket Star in exchange for a honest review.
