Overview

Although Charles FInney is considered to have been one of America's greatest evangelists, some have felt that his gospel message seemed legalistic and works-related. In Principles of Salvation, twenty of Finney's salvation sermons stand as his definitive statement on biblical conversion.

Combined with Principles of Faith, the thrust of Finney's evangelistic ministry can be evaluated in context and compared with the Scripture he boldly proclaimed. The same Spirit Who anointed this messenger for a past generation can bring his messages to life again for this generation.

Finney's message of salvation in the language of today.

About the Author

Charles G. Finney (1792-1875) is recognized as the most effective evangelist of the 19th century. It is estimated that more than half a million people were converted to Christ through his evangelistic ministry. After becoming a lawyer he carefully explored the claims of Christ and was powerfully converted in 1821. An avid student of the Bible, he soon engaged in preaching and teaching throughout many eastern and southern states. The result was a revival which altered the course of American history.
