Clausewitz wrote "Principles of War" in 1811-1812. Originally used as an overview for a general's student, the work had acquired an importance of its own since then.
Completed 10-17 years before Clausewitz' "On War", "Principles of War" can be useful in understanding the development of the general's thought, deeper insight into "On War", or just as a primer on Clausewitz' thought.
This new translation includes the whole classic work, with the exception of archaic and purely tactical diagrams.
